Default How quickly should a consignor get paid by an ah????

wondering what is the typical time it takes to get paid by the auction houses???not being specific as to which one, just an approximate reasonable time once the auction ends.
thanks Bill

I believe consignment money should be paid out within 24-48 hours of receipt for the entire consignment, so this heavily relies on how quickly the auction house gets paid.

I feel 30 days from the end of the auction should be the max.

6-8 weeks from end of auction seems reasonable.

What is up with these long delays? Y'all accept that? I've only consigned three times: twice to B&L (Hi Scott and Leon) and once to LOTG (Hi Al). I got paid within two weeks each timeand would do it all again in an instant if I had anything left that is decent enough to consign

I agree with what everyone has said, however the best way to find out what is reasonable, is to look at the terms you agreed to when you consigned. Ultimately that's all that matters.
