Thank you Phil. I picked it up earlier this year from David Bryan.

Ted was my dad's, and his dad's favorite player. My dad and his two brothers all went to the same high school (Herbert Hoover High) in San Diego within a span of 1-9 years after Ted, and my grandfather worked at the school. So, Ted has always been my favorite player among players I never actually saw play.

My favorite "R" card would be the autographed '34 Goudey Gehrig portrait posted in the recent "Triple Crown" thread. (Yes, Matt W., it is my card and I feel lucky to have it. And, if the economy keeps doing what it's doing I may have to garage sale it for a case of Spam or a wheelbarrow full of Weimar dollars). [Edited to add that I just saw that Heritage has a similarly signed Gehrig #37, a real beauty http://tinyurl.com/3kmnxl ; so much for unique cards, might have to knock a few cans of Hawaii's favorite luncheon meat off my price]. So many great "R" cards, so hard to choose. My next favorite "R" card is a toss-up between the '33 Goudey Ruth Batting and the Sport Kings Grange. Love everything about both cards.

Steve Dawson: That Goudey Premium Ted Williams is sublime!

Tough choice, but can't go wrong with Gehrig.
Scanner acting up a little. Card actually has
richer color to it.

R337 Babe Ruth, my count won't catch my 1969 Frank Robinson but I think I have 12 of them.
