Default Ebay advice for cancelling an order?

Guys....I need some help. I accepted a best offer on my 1957 Topps Mantle card. Two days later, the guy said he has no intentions of paying for the card. What should I do with the order so I won't be penalized by Ebay? There is no need to get my final vale fee back, because Ebay takes it out of the money paid now.

With the new rules, the buyer has three days to cancel an order. After three days, it is up to the seller whether he wants to accept. I think you are out of luck.

I think you can cancel the order by

1) Go to the order in the Orders section of Selling Manager
2) Choose "Cancel Order" from the dropdown under Actions
3) Select "Buyer asked to cancel" from the Reason dropdown

I know I've done this a few times without any issues or eBay strikes where buyer claimed a mistake or didn't pay up.

I think the guy should get a strike though. That is wrong.

eBay would do nothing to those non-payers. I recently dealt with a "buyer" who only paid 30% of auctions that he won and he "won" around 1 auction a day. that guy still has good feedbacks since sellers can't leave him negative feedbacks. Just deal with it, eBay is for buyers not for sellers.

Can you out that bidder so I can block him?

This is the best option. Had the same issue recently. Wanted to get the guy a non-payer strike but would have taken way too long and would have been too much of a hassle.

After 4 days, Ebay will give you option to cancel, choose "buyer didn't pay" as the reason and they will get a strike and you can relist right away, at that point, buyer can no longer leave feedback.

LOL...thanks Octavio.....it hasn't happened in a long time. But it happens. It's a nice card. It's probably worth more than what I sold it for anyway. PWCC sells it for more than I sold mine for constantly. I was just trying to sell it myself and not use them.

I would block the buyer.

I’d post their eBay user handle here, too.

That sucker was braqwaku99

The auction that he won from me wasn't cards related but read his feedbacks. Sellers had to leave positive feedbacks to complain he didn't pay for his auction.... so ironic. LOL

It's rumored that sellers who give "false positives" can be suspended from eBay for doing this.

Default cancel due to buyer changed their mind

If a buyer changes their mind you can cancel the order anytime--on the drop down when cancelling just mark buyer changed their mind to purchase-you will be issued eBay final value fee--

I'm with the wait for 4+ days and then mark it that buyer didn't pay. Then sellers who block buyers with unpaid item strikes won't have to deal with them.

Ah, the haunted Mantle card! Has anyone ever determined who the ghost is behind him?

Probably former minor-league second-bagger, Jacob Marley. The Mick was also visited by three more spirits that evening.

From what I've read, the Mick was visited by spirits quite often.

Methinks the spirit's name was Johnnie Walker.
