Hard to choose between my E121 Cobb and this, but Christy looks so pretty with his lipstick!

Leon

E90 cards don't get too much nicer than your Young.

It's a tough choice, but I think this is my favorite. Besides, I acquired this Wagner from my old friend.

special for me because I got it for my son when he was born; and now have the corresponding Tim Carroll piece for my other son when he was born.

Leon, I'll never get tired of seeing that beautiful Cy E90-1.

Its hard to pick just one favorite "E" card but, for this week or month at least, I'd probably go with this one.

Probably my E92 Dockman Matty. But since that horizontal card has already been posted a couple of times (different sets), I will post this E90-1 of Stuffy McInnes. Have always loved the bold colors and the bat coming at you pose.

Tom, I have to admit I've never seen one of those. I had to look it up:

"The 1910 A.W.H. caramel set features Virginia League players and is considered one of the most esoteric and rarest baseball cards sets of its time. Most advanced collectors still do not own samples from this unique, rare, and elusive set."

No wonder I wasn't familiar with the set. Thanks for sharing.

Great cards in this thread. My favorite E card front is the Cobb on bat, and my favorite back is Crofts Cocoa, but there have been many Crofts Cocoa backs posted, so I will post this, which is a great combo

His "steal" of first base prompted the rule change making it illegal. He was also an early baseball "on-field clown".

It says 'favorite', not most attractive, right?

This is the only E card in my Bender collection.

Early E cards have generally been stagnant the last decade or so. Anybody noticing an uptick in them recently?

Wanted to add that those two Nadja Cobby's are incredible.

To anyone interested in the 1922 Witmor Candy card of WaJo that's in the current Mile High auction (Lot #84), don't let the lot-description hype lead you to believe it's the only example of this card in existence. The Standard Catalog of Vintage Baseball Cards pictures another example of this card. My example makes for at least three in existence, as I don't think it's the same one Bob Lemke pictured in the SCVBC.

Apologies if this one has been posted. I didn't think I had seen it in this thread. Leave it to me to follow up that 9.5.
Prior to this thread, I was sure I wanted to pursue a T206 Cobb, but now I am thinking about the E cards again...particularly Wagner. Not sure which way to go!

Maybe, just maybe Schalk should have been the first catcher to be inducted
into the HOF. His numbers compare to Roger Bresnahan AND he stayed clean
in the 1919 World Series.
