Bob...

Those figural pieces are off the charts! That big Promotional Brooklyn Bum piece must be one of a kind?

I also love the Dodger Weirdos. I have made lots of attempts at these over the years, but always either get outbid, or find that there was undisclosed damage or restoration work done. Seems like these are nearly impossible to find original and in nice condition. But yours all look great!

Gorgeous displays... love your Stanford Pottery White Elephant too.

Great Post!

Waaay to make a splash with your first post! Beautiful collection and well displayed. I love the use of trim to provide a way to hang your jerseys. The pennants are terrific as well. Thanks for posting.

Doug, I think we would all be shocked by how many great collectors and collections are unknown to us and who have never heard of our board.

The Gold Glove is 1989 Tony Gwynn.
MVP is the 1955 Yogi Berra that hung in the Dieges & Clust office.

Great job Jerry. I especially like the way you have your bats hanging...would be perfect for my room. Was that pre-made or did you make that yourself? Details please!!

Jerry - Very, verrrry nice collection and nicely displayed too. Love the bat rack and the Mantle bat is great as well. Do you have any close ups of it?

Are there any good stories of how you acquired any of these items aside from auctions?

Mike -
I had my carpenter build it. Figured it was the best way to house and display my bats. Pictures are attached. The big opening is 1 1/2" - the front opening is 1 1/8" and it is 3" deep. Hope this helps.

Default Bat racks

Jerry,
I did exactly the same thing when it came time to design a way of displaying my bats. My carpenter's solution is virtually the same identical setup. My only regret is that I wish that I had more space. My bat collection is currently about 50% bigger than my bat racks.

One of these days I will get around to properly displaying the remainder of the collection.... Oh well

Love these memorabilia room threads! Great looking bat display. Anyone looking for racks, very similar to Jerry's, take a look at Ebayer " 910bill ". He does nice work.

Jerry, thanks for the extra pictures and the rack dimensions. That's exactly what I need.

John, I looked at that ebay seller and you're right...they are very very similiar and very inexpensive. That may be the easiest way to go.

Scott, my friend, you know you can always display the remainder of your bats at my place...and I won't even charge you a fee to come look at them

Jarrod - Glad you like the collection. The Mickey Mantle bat is a model M110from the 1050's era - Game Used with a David Bushing Letter of Authenticity (before Mears). I have posted some photos that show clete and track marks and the vintage #7 on the handle. I will aslo post some photos of my Willie Mays Game used bat - I have a letter of Authenticity signed by Mays.
99% of my Game Used Jerseys, Bats, Hats and Gloves were obtained from with-in MLB

I thought I would bring this thread back to the top. I love seeing all of the memorabilia rooms and I just got my memorabilia room (Man Cave) finished. Pretty much everything displayed is signed. As you can see I like to collect Minnesota Twins and Vikings memorabilia. I will apologize in advance - the pictures are not the best. The last photo is my setup for watching games.

dwr11- That is very impressive! Great job and wonderful stuff! Did you buy the glass cases stock or did you have them made?

All of these rooms are amazing. I do not want to show these to my wife. She is a saint but her patience is running thin with all my stuff piled on the floor.

I did make some points two weeks ago selling over 800 college football media guides. I had to drive them to Memphis, it weighed over 1,000 pounds. She was elated!

I purchased the glass cases. One of my friends made one using mine to go by and it cost him almost as much in supplies plus he had countless hours into making it.

Since you are such a big fan of the Twins, I would be happy to take that "Murder Minnesota" towel off your hands. Maybe a couple of Killebrew HR scored scorecards would fill in the hole in your collection?

I'm not really interested in Killebrew scored HR scorecards but I could use a Killebrew 500 HR ticket.

I don't have a lot of memorabilia out but I do have a few signatures displayed in the media room and bar area:

figured this thread could use a bump if anyone else has a room to share. Thanks to those that did, there are some incredible collections out there!

Default My Office

Pictures of my office...it is more functional then a real display room. Also pictures of 1 of my 2 store rooms. It takes a lot of space to store 14k + publications. I have started to expand my collection of wire photos which fit more easily in a book shelf.

David,

You made me smile. I have 3 desks, the one in the picture, my desk in my office at work and one at the firehouse where I volunteer....they all look the same. I am Mr. Anal about my work space.

Sorry again about your ball.

Jeff

Very nice Jeff! You have some great storage solutions there.

I hope to get to doing a small Athletics Room this weekend (which also serves as my home-office). Will post pics Sunday night, provided I can finish it.

To David's point... I'll now have to de-clutter and clean off my desk, just to make it look presentable. Thanks a lot

Jeff,
I think you should expand your wire photo collection to include everything except Lou Gehrig!

14K of publications!! Holy crap. So have you read them all?
Do you collect all publications or just select stuff?

Also remember, the sign of a brilliant mind is a cluttered desk. This is why I don't clean mine. That way people think I'm really smart.
Just noticed....Computer is open to Net54.

Best,
Mark
