Default Fake E91 & E94 on the bay

Just a heads up on this E94. Not real close but for a beginner it could be trouble...it is fake, fake, fake. The front lettering is bold black but not on real ones. Also the back is fuzzy....not on real ones.

same thing with the E91..fake

Pretty gross example of a fake on the McGraw. Buyer beware.

Leon, I am branching out from T206 and interested in more E cards. This E94 really stands out as a fake but what is the tell on the E91? Ive been shopping for this set recently so curious what to look for that jumps out on this one.

I appreciate your willingness to police eBay, however I assure you that they are both real. The lettering on the front is not bold with either, the picture was darkened slightly when I posted it due to fading, but that's it. The backs of both are crisp, not fuzzy, I just can't get the iPhone camera to focus properly... I've tried, but that was the best I could do. So the real issue is my poor photography skills not the card. Apparently, I'm not the only one with poor photography skills with this card... http://www.milehighcardco.com/mobile...px?lotid=12789

I would have posted sooner to this forum, but today was the first that I had seen the thread.

With the additional response (concerning the fuzzy scans/backs) and looking at them again with that info, they do appear fine. My apologies for any issues. I am sure they will sell fine eventually, if they have not already.

Thank you for the apology and for recanting your initial assessment of the cards. I sold the McGraw this week, but at a much lower price than expected. The other is still for sale. Next time please reach out to me directly prior to posting in this forum if you feel something seems off. I am concerned that the 450+ views of your original post impacted my ability to sell the cards in a timely manner and at a higher price.

I was tempted on the McGraw for weeks but just never pulled the trigger. And now I just came across this thread. Congrats on the collector who ended up with the nice authentic, low condition E94 HOFer.

Based on condition, I don't think you lost too much money if any. The ebay fake outings are about 99% a waste of time because most are over the top fake. However, if anyone has good intentions it's Leon and I can see where he was coming from on this one right or wrong. This thread may be the sacrificial lamb that ends the constant posts of ebay fakes.

Good scans and detailed item descriptions are a must.
