Default topps buybacks

Posted By: Martin Neal

Does anybody know if Topps has some backdoor agreement with certain dealers?
One dealer in particular has been selling t206, t207, and t205 buybacks for over a year and seems to have an unending supply. I don't think I have tracked them purchasing one off of EBAY during that time but they have probably sold well over a hundred of them. I may be mistaken but has anyone else noticed this? I have never been to a show, but it would seem to be very hard to acquire that many for that reasonable a price for them to sell at a $49.99 bin.

Sorry everyone, meant to post on the forum!!!

I have known Matt from BHCards for close to twenty years. He is an honest person and one of the real good guys in the hobby. I was at his shop in L.A. in December and looked through his vintage inventory, which was extensive. He bought a collection of several hundred of those Topps T205,T206, T207s from an individual and had them in the shop at the time. I believe he was planning to sell them gradually over ebay. There is nothing fishy going on with this one.
