Default Need Opinions: real or Fajke

I just purchased this 1932 US Caramel on ebay guaranteed to be original and sold by a seller with high feedback numbers. It comes with a 14 day money back guarantee.
Wanted opinions Real or Fake before I send it out to Beckett on tuesday for two day turnaround grading or back to the seller.
Its got a horizontal crease going through the front center and the paper appears to be bright white. The card is thick but it doesn't have the traditional old smell but more of a burnt smell. The edges appear to be brownish black. I guess upon receipt of the card it looks fake to me but I am not an expert.
Thanks for the opinions in advance.

Default fake

Looks fake to me from the scan shown....it's too brown and not high enough quality printing. Plus around the edges of the back they have that fake aging look.

What they said, it isn't real. It is too dark on it's surface. And where the surface is gone it shouldn't be white like that down in there. I think if you hit it with a black light that spot would fluoresce considerably. I'd stay clear of that, unless you wanted it as a bookmark.

I'd vote fake on this one. Odd that the color is very dull, no gloss at all. The biggest tipoff for me though is the very uniform "discoloration" around the edges and corners on the back. Kind of like someone held the card up to a candle and slowly rotated the card until all sides had that "burnt" look to the edges - which honestly, probably explains the burnt smell you mentioned.

Default Returning Card

Thanks for all the input. I am repackaging the card to return to the seller. I've learned never buy ungraded cards off ebay that don't have a good return policy.
