Default So who is the autograph top dog now?

Posted By: Doug

Now with Spence leaving PSA to start JSA, what authentiction company should be trusted? GAI has been nicking at PSA's heals for a while now, will they take over? It seems very fragmented to me, as PSA has basically 2 guys for authentication, JSA has 2 as well with Spence and recently departed Jeremy Kraft from PSA. As for GAI they really only have one authenticator. They also have Mike Gutierrez, but I'm not really sure what he does for them other than his aution. Spence has a long standing relationship with auction houses, so will they follow him or will PSA retain them. Brical already went with JSA, will PSA lose all of them?

This thread can stay as we haven't talked about it lately. If it gets out of hand I will have to moderate...As the newly created Forum Faq's state "off topics are permitted for board participants". I feel in the long run it helps keep the forum more close nit (sic ) .......kind regards

I think it's too early to answer that question.

JSA just formed (I mean JUST formed) and PSA/DNA needs to rebuild. It certainly will be interesting to see what becomes of PSA/DNA without Spence.

PSA/DNA NEEDS to rebuild. Losing their top authenticator, explaining to the public why Joe Orlando is signing the LOA's, that whole 'LOA blanket debacle' and the whole Bill Miller/ PSA/DNA suit that I read about on Richard Simon's site.

My money is on Spence in the long run but let's hope Leon will allow an update in six months on this matter.

DJ
