Default Help ID'ing Joe Dimaggio Postcard - Tokyo

I have piles of cards all over the place and many I have no recollection of acquiring or what I paid etc.... A few quick searches didn't show anything on this postcard. Anyone have more info and a guess at value?
I know it's a little later than pre war but I took moderator privileges

I'm assuming that's Lefty O'Doul next to him and would guess based on the SF Seals hat he's wearing that this might be a post war Seals Tour or goodwill visit. I'm sure Robert Klevins will know as soon as he sees your post. Nice postcard.

Hi Leon,
I also own this postcard. I have it listed as a 1951 Italian Postcard (US Goodwill Tour of Japan) Includes Joe DiMaggio & Lefty O'Doul!

Looks like the same tour that my photo of Joe is from. ( And I already have been told the autograph is not his.) Are there other pictures from this tour available?

I have never seen that Italian postcard before, but the image is from the 1951 tour of Japan with Lefty O'Doul. I don't know anything about that Japanese team. It sure is an interesting item.

And speaking of the San Fran Seals... Here is When Lefty O’Doul and Joe DiMaggio played together back in 1935 on their Pebble Beach PCs.

The name on the uniforms indicate that it is likely a boys' team formed by the Salesian Mission, a Catholic childrens' relief organization. That would be consistent with the inscriptions on the card back which appear to indicate that the Salesians issued the card.

It says, "All Catholics should work unanimously to ensure that the number of sacred legates grows and multiplies."

Joe and Lefty spreading the word.
