Default Rogers Hornsby - My War With Baseball

After much searching, I finally managed to get my hands on his 1962 autobiography , "My War With Baseball", which he wrote with the help of author Bill Surface. Check out my review of this gem. If you can get your hands on it, I suggest that you do so. Hornsby gives perspective on early 20th century baseball, all the way through the 1960's as he was involved in baseball until his death. He made some keen observations in the book, and held back no punches in doing so.

Default Boook review, Hornsby broadside

Sounds like a good read. I didn't know Hornsby "ranked second all time in career batting average, first in the National League". Ryan Simms just got the Hornsby broadside below...he said when he got it it was way better than he was expecting. It surely has a remarkable presence based on it's substantial 22 1/2 x 21 inches size.
