Default Love Of The Game Auction

Seems to be taking some big steps with some great items in their current auction. I got a fancy auction catalog in the mail today! Is this a first for LOTG auction house? A nice variety of pre-war sets and key vintage cards. And no, I don't have any items consigned in the auction....that may change however in auctions to come...I see them as "on the move" in the auction world.

Their first print catalog. Owner Al C. is a top notch guy, as many will tell you. Met and talked with him at the National.

Nice selection in their first-ever catalog. I'm impressed with the low opening bid levels.

I received my catalog today as well. Some might say that we have too many auction houses, but I say we can't have enough. A big +1 for LOTG and capitalism!

I had already created my watch list and placed a couple bids but was very impressed with the catalog I received today.

Yup, I was totally surprised to get mine, but I really like it. Al, when you pop in here, this gets a big thumbs up from me. Well done, sir.

I know most people are happy with seeing everything online, and if I am bidding on something, I copy an online pic and bring it into Photoshop to look at up close. But I like having a catalog, because if I have a few minutes of free time, and I don't feel like turning on the laptop or desktop pc, I will look through a catalog. And sometimes, I end up seeing something I missed.

I love the catalog as well. It gives me the chance to review the items in a way you don't get on a computer screen. Already placed my first bid.

I think my email is going to LOTG spam.

Al - if you see this, please send me a catalog. Thanks!

Hi everybody!

Thanks for all the kind words. Producing a catalog is a lot of work, but it was a ton of fun to do, and I'm looking forward to the next one.

Catalogs were sent to all registered bidders last Thursday, but I heard from a few people on the west coast today who have not received theirs yet. Scott, I'm pretty sure you're a registered bidder, so the catalogs should be on the way.

Any new bidders who registered in the last week or so will receive their catalogs a little later; I'm putting them in the mail myself tomorrow.

Thanks again for all the positive comments; I hope everyone enjoys the auction. Good luck bidding!

Best,
-Al
