Default john clarkson cigar box

Guys just arrived. I think one of one because I can't find another. John Clarkson hall of famer moved to michigan and opened a cigar tobacco business in the late 1800s. Made these for his business of course. Must be super rare and I thought it was a great buy. Better in person. If you have seen one let me know please. Always respect everyone's opinion. Thx

Absolutely (in terms of rarity)
But perhaps not quite as much (in terms of universal appeal)

Wagner and Young are much better known, so are more widely collected.

In terms of value... who knows? It would be interesting to see this piece in REA, SCP, Hunts, Lelands or something similar. Obviously, you snagged it "under the radar". But in the right Catalogue Auction, I bet its price realized would rival the two examples you referenced.

That photo looks familiar. Is it the same pose as his Just So card? And great cigar box, of course!
