Something tells me the 33 & 34 Goudeys he picked up were all 4 Ruth's from 33 and both Gehrigs from 34 (not to mention some "Lajoie" card from 34 as well)

If you flip the card and see a purple Sovereign back, that may just be a teensy tip that the card is fake.

Default Just sent email

I just sent him an email stating PSa didn't even exist in 1990 so he may want to come up with another story to try and sell his fake card.

He posted your question within his listing:

Q: PSA did not exist in 1990 you may wish to try a different story about this fake card. Aug-03-10
A: I have a hard time believing just how angry, and pessemistic the people on eBay are, I'm guessing I made a mistake with all of you keyboard warriors out there. I'm an older man, and I sent it in 1990, or so I thought. Anything else you want to pick on me for? We can joke about how my life died of Leukemia 3 years ago. Want to make fun of my eye-sight too? When did the world get so angry? Not everybody is trying to rip someone off.

People who sell fake cards on ebay, and who are subsequently called out on them, are the most defensive I have ever seen.

Could it be possible this card is real? After all, it does have a yellow background...

Q: That's not from 1911, or even pre-WW2. It was from around 1985. Real ones have an inside black border and didn't come with Sovereign. And Sovereign never used purple ink.
A: Yes, I agree. I'm not claiming to know everything about the card, but I am also not claiming that it's from 1911.

He posted this question and response. The first word in his title says it's 1911 and the Item Details says 1911.
