Journeyman Pitcher, Jim Wilson.

I collect game-used "Type Jerseys", and have always wanted a vintage Athletics Flannel. It's such a classic style, and very difficult to find (especially affordable examples like this one).

I won't go into detail, which most would find boring anyway, about why I find these so interesting. But this lot was the only one I really wanted in the entire auction, and I was thrilled to get it for what I paid.

Mark,
Journeyman pitcher is actually no-hit pitcher Jim Wilson.

Jim Wilson pitched a no-hitter on June 12, 1954 while he was a player for the Milwaukee Braves.

Thanks for that news, Scott!

Perhaps he's still a "journeyman", but with a brief moment of glory? Either way, that tidbit makes the jersey a lot more interesting

Great pickups everyone. Rob, very colorful additions. Mark, that's definitely a classic jersey.

Mark,

I'm biased, but I definitely think that makes the jersey more interesting, FWIW.
