Great list! Maybe Gehrig takes over for Wally Pipp?

How about Rick Monday rescuing the flag from those scumbags at Dodger Stadium April 25, 1976?

Maybe this doesn’t fit into what you are wanting to collect but maybe you could consider adding some perfect games to your list. There are not many of them or you could even consolidate it down to just the HOFers pitchers who threw perfect games.

Nolan Ryan's 7th no-hitter and same day Rickey Breaking Lou Brock's record. Two tickets, but kinda fun together. 5/1/91. Ryan was the oldest to throw a no-hitter at 44 and it might have been his best with 16k's and only 2 walks. Oh yeah, and it was on three days rest.

Default lest we forget the pre-war icons

the pre-war collector also "remembers" things like:

1905 Matty wins series pitching three shutouts
1908 the Merkle boner
1912 Snodgrass's muff
1914 Last to first place Miracle Braves sweep A's in series
1917 Toney and Vaughan pitch no-hitters in same game
1920 Ruth sold to Yankees
1920 Wambsganns unassisted triple play in world series
1924 walter Johnson/ Senators win series game 7 in extra innings on "pebble bounce" past Lindstrom
1927 Ruth hits 60 homers and Yankees sweep Pirates in series
1934 Hubbell strikes out Ruth Gehrig Foxx Simmons and Cronin in all-star game

How about 10 cent beer night, Disco Demolition night, and, because I'm a Clevelander, Albert Belle pointing to his bicep?

Nowadays, if they had a 10cent beer night, it would be served in a shot glass. LOL

Late to the party...

The only one I can think of to add at this late date is maybe the Bucky Dent HR game.

Cool list.
I'm biased for sure, but I think the 1969 Miracle Mets fit.

Best one I was at, can't say it falls into the historic category, but it does in the hilarious category.

Randy Myers Poster Day Giveaway at Wrigley Field

10,000 Posters of Randy Myers were the giveaway item for the day, back in 1993, when the Cubs weren't exactly....well, good.

So gets to the 9th, Cubs up 2-0, and in comes Randy Myers to close it out. Well base hit, walk, base hit, walk, base hit, need to say he blew the save and they tied it 2-2, out came Myers.

Onto the field rained 10,000 Posters.

So much for Randy Myers Day.

Google it, true story, and those posters have to be pretty rare as I can't imagine many were not thrown back onto the field.

Best giveaway day ever!!!! Back when Cubs fans were Cubs fans, not all suits and ties.
