Hey Joyce,

Maybe try your question here at the nonsports board: http://www.network54.com/Forum/526604/

There's probably a bunch more folks that collect the non-baseball subjects over there.

Rob

Joyce, unfortunately you likely overpaid a bit for the Newboy. Is it the type that look like the ballplayers or is the larger colored variety? Russell is the superstar of the actresses and maybe she sells for more than I think, but you can generally pick up decent actresses (VGEX or better) in that series for between $15-35.

Again, Lillian Russell & Sarah Bernhardt are the stars of the actresses so you may still be okay, but I have a feeling you overpaid by a bit if you were looking for a quick resale.

Take home message... ballplayers are tough to find in that series, unfortunately the actresses aren't.

the actresses are by far the easier subject matter to obtain. Just by the fact of the sheer size of the set..............a fantastic Newsboy site is located at:

http://www.newsboys.co.uk/

It has the BB card detail in it too......

Feel free to post at the Non-sports site as well.......there are people who collect the Newsboys. There are 5-6 different Lillian Russell's in the set. She's one of, if not the most heavily collected 19th century actress and has literally dozens, if not hundreds of cards out there from various sets.
