Default T205 Short Print List - Is T205.org's Correct?

Is this list correct?
http://www.t205.org/filter_set.php?sp

Someone emailed me this evening specifically regarding Walsh. I am unable to answer with surety. Is the Walsh card a short print?

Thanks In Advance

Yes if someone is kind enough to answer this could you also let me know where I can find these SP designations. Book, magazine, list ???? I have been looking but have not found. I would really appreciate it.

Lipsett's book has two categories for the rarities. Below are just the SPs- not the variations.

Tier 1
Grant
Joss
Raymond
Rowan
Turner
Vaughn
Kirb White
Wilhelm

Tier 2
Dahlen
Donohue
Fisher
Karger
Kleinow
Scanlan
Sweeney
Suggs
Wagner
Walsh

That is 18. T205.org has only 15.

What about cards such as Bresnahan and Collins mouth open varieties? They are scarcer than their mouth closed counterparts.

Of course, but I didn't include them because I deem them variations not Short prints (even if they are much more scarce).

Can we get a better definition on what counts as an "SP" for the purposes of this list?

Does it refer to cards that are only available with certain advertising backs?
Or does it only refer to cards that are available with all backs, but in significantly less quantities?

But if those two cards are scarce, wouldn't that make them short printed? By definition, scarce cards have smaller print runs.

Certainly - consider T206s - I don't think we categorize them in terms of "SPs" but there are clearly cards tougher then the others due to only being available with certain brands.

Matt / Barry- I am just quoting the Lew bible. Andrew asked for a reference from a book, so I pulled up the list in his tome. Like with anything, especially here on Net 54, you could argue the merits of anything, like for example including the Barger Partial B or the Collins Open Mouth as a SP....

For a basic set (one of every player- not the variations) I think Lew's tiering a list is pretty good.

Andrew- on the Joss....I don't know if it is a super short print, but you sure don't see them come up for auction very often. I will say, when I started collecting t205s many years ago most of these SPs were pretty scare on eBay. Today many of them appear each week. The Joss is much scarcer.

Here is mine:

I appreciate everyone's help here. I've updated the site to go with the Lipset A & B lists.
