Default Mickey Mantle Jersey on Home Shopping Network

I recently looked a at Jersey that was bought from Home Shopping Network 20-30 years ago. It was a Yankee Jersey with Mickey Mantle auto.

it has a cert from the sports card shop who paid for Mickey to be there. Does anyone know where I can find some documents on this? Or recommend on who is the best Authentication Company?

Just post a photo of the jersey.

Try to reduce the size of the file. That is usually the problem. If that don't work let me know and you can email it to me and I will upload it for you.

You are probably trying to upload from a phone or an ipad. Both devices don't work great for uploading onto our forum. Almost always the scans or pics are 20x or more too big. You can email me at leon@net54baseball.com and I will resize it for you or "un-screw it up" in order to post it.

Very Nice Jersey...Authentic and the Scoreboard was a seller of 100% Authentic items. Watch out for sellers who will make a copy of the coa and place it with a fake autographed item

No idea of value, compare it to sold listings on ebay. If Mr Williams says it is good, it is good.

Thank you, Ben. Very flattering.

The value of it is whatever someone is willing to pay at any given time.

Chris,

Did you mean that the Autograph was also authentic?

The autograph is authentic. It's not a game used jersey but just a signed store model. Check some sold listings on eBay for price.

It's not a crazy price but likely a bit high. Mantle signed jerseys tend to run in the $1,600 to $2,000 range, so yours is at the high end of what they go for. Nice non-faded autograph so a justifiable price. Just at the high end imho.

Default Mantle jersey purchase

I am very familiar with those. I bought the Hank Aaron jersey signed by the 500 club and had PSA authenticate the autographs (years later) and they all were good.
It seems to me that all the items sold at the time and autographed were autographed in front of them. I have seen several jerseys sold and authenticated by PSA.

So after everyone viewed the photos they would feel comfortable that everything was authentic?

In this day of handheld devices I do all I can to help out our members. I personally can't stand doing everything on a phone. And there is no device I dislike more than an Ipad. (we own 1-2 and my wife uses hers daily).
I am just old school. That said, almost half of my liquid savings is in Apple stock. I just try to do what Warren Buffet does but with about 5 less zeroes at the end . Here is my last layperson tip of the day ...Vanguard 500 Index fund. Warren says most investors would do much better just having their money there. So that is where the other half is. Happy collecting.

Glad the signature turned out to be authentic.

I prefer a signed jersey contain a signature across the jersey, not at the angle shown. This is the first Mantle jersey I recall signed in this manner. Were all the signatures from scoreboard done at this angle?
