Unfortunately, the pictures have such poor resolution, they can not be enlarged. Also, I have no back scans. Very little to go by, but was hoping something may jump out to people. I get to see them in person this weekend, but have little experience with most of the issues. I do not think Fritsch made a Post reprint set, so maybe those cards are safe:)

the goudey's and the e121's look fake. i would guess the wilson williams and red heart mantle are fakes also(common fakes). i think you are correct fritsch did not make a post reprint set (yet) those are probably real

Some may be real and some may be fake. I wouldnt buy unless I saw them in person. Highly likely they are reprint (maybe homemade) mixed with low value authentic cards.

The redflags:

W551 Johnson, the caption should be black not blue

E135 are missing the numbers at bottom. They may be E121s but the caption doesnt look like E121s. Also the background color is light brownish, very unusual.

The cut 4-in-1 exhibits are basicly worthless

The T200 looks too small for some reason when compared to the other cards.

The best card of the bunch the Wilson Williams looks funny, too small and cut close at bottom ??

The W560s look like the reprints as the red/black in photo area doenst look right. The photo clarity is not like the authentic cards, the backgrounds are too dark overall when compared to the card stock. The backs should be gray card stock if authentic.

The T206 Crawford looks too small, it should be larger than the W514 Jennings on the right

The best 2 cards of the 1962 Post are the Hoak and Berra.

PS: Edited to add the prices on the toploaders are crazy

I've never seen that Bobby Jones card before... if you buy the lot I'd like to see larger scans of it. It has the same image from my 1925 W590s.

Thanks,
Kyle

I think the real question here is ... WHO IS GOING TO BOTTLE FRANK????? Egads. lolol I can't believe how many inferences can be drawn from such nondescript scans.

Heck Frank, I'm ready to give you some kind of award just for keen eyesight.

Some of the inexpensive and more common cards appear to be real. The most valuable cards all appear to be fake.

If the Wilson Franks Williams is a reprint, they trimmed off the border to make it look borderless (like the original). I agree it could be homemade, but other than the strange staining pattern I don't know how one could really tell. There are plenty of originals that have very little/no bottom border.

MW - any insight that could educate me on how you can tell it is a reprint?

the british tobacco look fine to me, why would you reprint them anyway. the fatima does look very small and doesnt see like the paper looks right either. the scary thing i see on the posts is the cepeda. the bottom right corner is rounded but instead of the brown cardboard being seen it appears white. arent the factory ones even on brown cardboard? whole lot is very suspect.
