Default National question

I have attended the National 3 times.

I have attended the Net54 dinner and the PSA luncheon and will be at each again this year.

I am considering going to the VIP Party on Wednesday afternoon.

What other "events" should/can I attend?

Thanks

Shawn

The other big events are the live auctions put on by Heritage and Legendary.

I don't know if I would call the VIP "Party" an event...last year you waited for some bad pizza and stood in a really long line for autographs. That was about it.

I am still unsure about this. It would save me an extra night of hotel costs to skip it.

Anybody else have some thoughts?

Shawn

I'm not going, but I believe there are some guys going to the Cubs game as a group on one or more of the days. I'm not sure of the details, but I saw that posted somewhere.

Unless you are an autograph collector specifically targeting the signers at the VIP Reception I would skip it. There isn't much going on and it's very crowded. FYI, the signers this year are Dwight Gooden, Neal Anderson, Dick Fosbury & Bob Beamon.

Unfortunately the Chicago Bandits (women's pro fastpitch softball) are out of town. During the 2011 National I went to the Friday night game and saw Monica Abbott (2008 Olympian/Univ Tenn) pitch a perfect game. All in attendance got a free admission to the next nights game, which I skipped.

They are also signing on Thursday, I believe, also for free.
