I may be an idiot and the whole message on the posting looked suspicious but how did this get flagged? Did PSA slab a reprint or was it a fake PSA slab?

I assumed it was just that the seller had stolen the photo and never actually had the card rather than the card in the picture is fake.

I assumed the seller stole the photo of the PSA graded card and didn't show the serial number for fear that people would look that number up and find it was a stolen scan.

I ALSO assumed that the ungraded Ruth card (the one pictured laying sideways) was a fake and THAT is the one you would receive instead of the graded card.

That story almost brought tears to my eyes .....from laughing so hard ! It combined every element possible in the story of the card's history to describe the card : a deceased uncle who was a collector and Babe Ruth fan, mysteriously mailing the card home in a letter, a safe found in an attic years later, a grieving family member (a sister ), the caring card authenticator/dealer offering an absurd amount of money for the card but the seller not taking it, a request to sell the card from the deceased and the family to benefit , and finally the concerned and not too informed seller of the card giving it an overblown detailed description.

But why is the buyer someone with thousands of reviews? Surely he is not an idiot. What's his play after spending $125?

There was a Ruth card with scans cutting off half of the card (the cert side). Other scans looked like the card was not in a holder. So fishy you coulda made a fine gumbo from it.
