Default 1933 Goudey Nap Lajoie On Ebay?

Please forgive me if I have placed this post in the wrong location or committed some other error because this is my first ever post on this website.
I saw this 1933 Nap Lajoie on ebay. What are your thoughts on its authenticity? I think it's rather obvious, but most of you guys are much more knowledgeable than me.

Welcome to Net54 and I would agree that it's obviously a fake. Clear signs of a fake would be the print, which looks fuzzy or blotchy, the artificial aging, the fake toning on the reverse, and corners with odd, uneven wear.

I just looked at his feedback and noticed this card.
If it were legit, would it not be worth a lot more money?

1 neutral and 1 negative with a small number of sales is questionable to me.
Imo, one just starting out, or with such a small number of sales, should not have 2 marks against him already.

The fuzzy printing looks awful. Also, he's only sold one item for more than $150, yet suddenly he has a card worth $20K plus? And he got a negative "not as described" on that item.

Edited to add: Welcome to Net 54 Westside.

Looks fake to me. Color and printing are off. I have been slowly building a 33 Goudey set.

Five cent reprint. The seller is either a crook or dumb as a brick.

Default Why rush?

No hurry, you have a very generous 60 days to provide proof that the card is not authentic. You have to pay right away, but you can relax while seeking expert opinions for your eventual refund

Like others have said the printing is terrible, particularly the Goudey trademark on the back of the card. It should be crystal clear.

Looks like someone is in the market for a 60 day interest free loan.

Want to bet that he won't accept "? AUTH" as proof that it's a fake.

Stay far far far away from that one.

Also, welcome!

I was thinking the same thing. He really emphasizes that "proof" requirement. And since he knows that it's fake and is selling it anyway.... he has no intention of returning any money.

"GUARANTEE TO BE NON REPRINT 100%"

Either English is his second language or that is some tricky legal language.

The ole ?AUT angle. PSA needs to get their act together and change that. Surely their lawyers could come up with something better.

I agree. Since we're paying them for their expert opinion, they should be willing to come right out and say that a card is fake.
