Default 1907 Eastern League RPPC set?

I recently acquired this 1907 RPPC of Henry "Hank" LaBelle who played for the 1907 Newark Sailors team.

I found this 1907 composite of the 1907 Eastern League and the my LaBelle is an exact photo match. The photos of were by H.C. Weasner a photographer out of Buffalo, NY who was a contemporary of and reminiscent of Carl Horner.

Here is a close up of the Newark and Toronto teams.

I know another member here has a postcard like mine of Weidensaul from the Toronto team, hopefully he'll post it. Ironically it is just to the left of the LaBelle in the composite who is just left of the Newark manager.

These are gorgeous cards. Does anyone else own or ever seen other examples? It makes sense that if two exist from different teams that postcards for the entire league might have been made. Is this a known set?

Depends on what you call famous. Lots of T206ers. HR Baker and Eddie Collins had cups of coffee on the way up to the Bigs. Bill Carrigan and Rebel Oakes put in parts of a season. Click on the teams in the "League Standings" at BBRef.com [http://www.baseball-reference.com/re...i?id=a857b57d] to see rosters.

Let me rephrase my question:

Are there any HOFers and/or future star/well-known major league ball players on the Composite that Jim shared?

Derek, here is a link to the cabinet which sold at LOTG. It more easily expands so that you can see and identify each player.

That is a really great photo. Could have almost been a twin to some others (Horners)....

That Eastern League composite photo is one of my favorite pieces that I've ever sold. So much so, in fact, that when it came up in REA this year, I won it! It now adorns the walls at the LOTG office, so if anyone has any questions about it, I'm happy to help.

It does have Joe Kelley and Hugh Duffy, both managers. I'm a collector of memorabilia related to baseball in New Jersey, so the Jersey City and Newark teams are what was appealing to me. And of course there are plenty of T206 names...

Yes, these type photos make phenomenal office wall eye candy. This is approximately 30 x 28 framed.
