Great E103, Peter! I'm looking forward to the day I land one of those.

Lucky number 13 for my Red Sox T206 backs:

I am becoming a regular on the Pick Up Threads these days. Once again, the BST does the trick. E-bay, Schmee-bay. This one from Barry - nice deal and always great catching up.

Really great looking card. The nice yellow background gives it such a graceful look - warm and almost glowing. First purchase specifically for my Collection of 25: Non-Detroiters.

Thanks BS and BST.

ok, I know its not baseball but I have been unlucky the past 2 months. However, I wanted to show the difference in price between 1920's movie stars and pre ww2 baseball autographs. This is a Wallace Reid signed photo. Wallace was HUGE in the 1920's. During filming he hurt his leg so rather than waiting it out the producers shot em up with morphine to continue filming. What a surprise, he becomes a morphine addict and dies at the age of 30 in 1923. Pretty rare autograph bought for the enormous price of $9.99. The shipping charge was actually more than the winning bid. Willie Keeler died in 1923 but I doubt Ill be getting a Keeler signed photo for $9.99 anytime soon happy.gif

I knock off two birds with one stone with this card. One from Mr. Carter's stash and a good looking O'Brien (just like me!) from the T206! Sorry for the big pic up front.
Take care,
Bob

Thanks Jeff.

I picked that Pittsburgh postcard up on ebay for a song! Feel very fortunate to have something with Barney Dreyfuss on it. Probably be keeping it for awhile.

That's a e92 Chase. I'm sending away for SGC to review today. We'll see how it does. It's a fantastic looking card IMO.

Thanks guys!

Yeah I pretty much go for all rare backs. My mission is to keep upgrading my set with as many cards that are not Piedmont or Sweet Caporal as possible. If there is no rare back available then I will usually try to find a high grade example.
