Default Owen Wilson and His Triples - aka the Sloate Trivia thread

Owen Wilson holds the single season record in 1912 for triples in a season with 36 three baggers.

The next year in 1913 he had only 14 triples, his second highest season total.

That same year he attempted 19 stolen bases, but was caught stealing 10 times.

In 1915 he was successful on only 8 of 23 attempted stolen bases.

So what gives,

Was Owen Wilson too fast to stop at second accounting for his triples or,

was Owen Wilson too slow to get to home plate settling for a triple instead?
