Default Best Frames/Place to Buy Frames for Pics/Newspapers?

What are the best places to buy frames from, and what are the best frames to look for? I have some pictures, signs, special documents, and newspapers that need framed and hung up in the Man Cave.

I get my frames from Aaron Brothers, don't know if they're in your area. They usually have excellent deals on frames.

I've purchased some decent double sided frames from Joanne's for photos to show image and slug on the back.

I agree with Ryan. If Aaron Brothers is in your area check them out. They have a large selection of frames and have "one cent" sales twice a year. Buy one frame at regular price, get the second for a penny.

I would throw Michael's and Hobby Lobby into the arena for reasonably priced frames.

Someone I know got some Yankee pics framed up at Michael's that came out great. Plus you can print up an online coupon for discounts.

Wow. Looks like he does great work! Not sure I need anything custom at this point, but I will keep him in mind for future needs. I might eventually get a card box or something.

Unfortunately, Aaron Brothers is not in Ohio.

Hobby Lobby is one of my favorite places. Do they do any sort of custom work measurement wise, or is it just what they have in stock?

I have had great luck at garage sales. I like the look of older wood frames with older photos, and garage sales are great for finding "aged" frames for very cheap.

On this note...thrift stores too. Especially if your decorating style is a little more rustic or you're not concerned with everything matching.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I went to Hobby Lobby and picked up a few cheap frames for my first frame project (not sports related). My fiancee, being the smart woman that she is, told me to get a cheap frame, and put black paper behind it instead of paying $14 per frame to have them make a mat.

I'm running out of space in the Man Cave, but next up are a few Cleveland Indians newspapers, and a custom frame that I will probably have Hobby Lobby do for the 2016 World Series run the Indians made (tickets from ALDS Game 1, ALCS, and World Series Game 1, a rally towel, and a picture of my fiancee and I at the World Series). Thank you all for the suggestions.

You also might want to give framing and matting yourself a try. Here is a thread I started a while back with some of my own stuff. Others added their efforts to it. It's quite fun and easy

Also, Hobby Lobby has a perpetual coupon for 40% off any one item. You can use it every day if you wish. The current one is on their website, but looks like this.

Hobby Lobby's 40 percent couple is really cool. I put their app on my phone and the cashier just scans the photo off my phone to get the discount. Well worth it.

Aaron Bros. has the same ongoing coupon, scannable from any cell phone.

But theirs is 50%. Both are great resources!

Default Michael's

I'm here in Central Ohio, and usually do a big framing group once a year. Have used Michael's for the last several years, with great results.

If you can be a bit patient, I'd suggest waiting for their 70% off sales to get the very best deal. You can sign up for their mailings or emails to know when it hits.

Thing I've been most impressed with is their trained framing consultants, who have a great eye for matting and frame selection. They've come up with some unexpected and great choices for me!
Bad pic, but see below for some of their most recent handiwork:

I use Hobby Lobby. They did nice work on the custom frames I had them do for me. I also buy standard size frames and matting as I need them. I like to wait for the sales like shown in earlier posts.
