Babe Ruth and Teammates Busted Breaking Prohibition
I thought everyone would enjoy this 1922 photo of the Babe, Whitey Witt, Bob Muesel, and Lefty O'Doul famously getting busted for drinking during
Prohibition. I identified the people that I could - if you recognize anyone else in the photo I would love to know who they are. I am also including a link to a Type III of this photo that sold at Goldin: https://goldinauctions.com/Fascinati...-LOT29899.aspx ... and a few write ups of the incident.

Very interesting stuff Bryan thank you for sharing it. Det. Kelly had quite the knack for undercover work. Great reaction by the Huggins. It seems pedestrian compared to the antics of current pro's.

Glad you enjoyed it Jason, I thought it was pretty fun. I would love to see the signed copy of this photo, does anyone know if that still exists?
It is tough to see in the image that I posted, but there are actually three beers sitting on the table to the right.

I'm not sure, but is that Carl Mays on the far right end of the front row? He seems to have Mays's distinctive ears, pointy nose, and facial shape, but I can't find a picture of Mays without a cap, to see if he had the same hairline.

Looks close David, but I think the guy in the photo's nose has a more drastic hook to the right.

I found some more info on this and thought it would be fun to bump this thread.
Here is more on this story: https://www.theherald-news.com/2014/...-here/a9pgjso/ I also found a list of the people in the photo.
