It might be a 1935 Goudey.

Those cards featured 4 players, in small boxes (all Braves in this card's case) and a puzzle piece back.
Do you have a scan or cell phone picture?
Easy to ID with a pic

Hopefully that link helps, you have to be able to steer this upload feature to the memory card or internal storage of the cell phone that holds your picture.

I'm using a iPAD right now, so I can't grab it from email and post for you, but if worse came to worse, others here may offer to help. It's a friendly group

Default Babe Ruth card

I already own it was considering selling it, but would like to know its value before I decide what to do with it.

I know nothing about 1935 Goudey's but am guessing it's a fake. It's similar to this recent ebay listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1933-goudey-...item2ed789f9a8

The seller has a poor feedback rating and he had revised this listing most likely to add that it was a reprint in the description since he didnt note it in the title. Your card is similar as its in a similar holder and the set-up with the card and signature are aligned the same way. Also curious how you have this 1935 Goudey card with signature and dont know what you have.

Hmmm my curiosity is growing. In a prior post you gave your opinion on an ebay scammer that sold a Gehrig goudey. In that post one of our other frequent posters slidekellyslide interestingly pointed out that the seller of that card had an ebay name stonesour7979 a name that is very similar to your armystrong7979. I just did a search of the stonesour7979 on ebay and when I do that the seller daddyof41336 pops up does this mean stonesour7979 changed his name to daddyof41336?

That seller, daddyof41336 is currently selling a 1962 topps Mickey Mantle. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mickey-Mantl...item3cee77fac6. Daddyof41336 does have 100% feedback though.

Guess who else is selling/sold an ungraded 1962 Topps Mickey Mantle? The same seller johnny9856 who sold the other Babe Ruth Goudey with cut signature similar to the card you say you own here with similar set-up. Here is the link to the other 1962 mantle: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1962-Topps-M...-/201200071674

I find these names Armystrong7979, stonesour7979, daddyof41336 and johnny9856 to all be very intriguing. What is also intriguing are the cards in question, the fake Gehrig goudey, your 1935 Goudey with Ruth cut signature in a screwdown holder, the other Goudey with Ruth cut signature in similar holder I cited in the thread above (here is that link again: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1933-goudey-...item2ed789f9a8) and the 2 1962 Mantle's (see the negative feedbacks that johnny9856 has).

Does anyone else find all this interesting? I have edited this post because I maybe looking at ebay history incorrectly but Is daddyof41336 the same as stonesour7979? Can someone help me with this part of the puzzle.

If I'm off base I apologize in advance.

Leon, I edited my above post because I am not sure I am looking at the ebay history correctly, is daddyof41336 the same as stonesour7979? Can someone help me with this part of the puzzle.

If not then mea culpa relative to the Mantles's (but awfully coincidental) but I believe the rest of the story holds true relative to the other cut signature and the similarity of the screw down holders and the way the card is set up with the signatures below.

Man, do I love this kind of stuff! You would think that someone looking through posts on our forum would recognize the "intense research level" of a lot of our members and yet they don't think that these same members will discover under handed ness with this same intensity level. I have learned so much since I have joined. Thanks to all!

Good enough for me. Just quit trying to deceive people and do the right things in life. It's much better Karma that way and you will be far more successful, trust me. I speak from experience.

Default Thumbs up!

Precisely why I like this forum. The BS filter is set to very sensitive here. I am still very much in the learning phase in this hobby having picked up where I left off in 1992...que the laughing at my worthless late 80s early 90s collection. I am becoming much more educated thanks to this forum. A special shout out to Leon. Thanks for overseeing this forum. I am very appreciative

First of all, try using some punctuation in your sentences. It will make them easier to read. Aren't my sentences easier to read than your long run on ones?

If you can post a better picture of the card we might better be able to tell if it's real or not. I am fairly sure it isn't because of the bottom left corner on the front. If I am not mistaking that is some really white looking paper under the wear to that corner. If it is then that is a dead giveaway it's not real.

ps...if this is about the autograph, I will leave that to others...but usually when there is one fake there are others.

I don't think this thread has anything to do with the card. It's hoping someone will bite on the auto.

You are an admitted scammer. Why do you think we would want to help you so fast? For all we know we will teach you how to be a better scammer. Have you considered that?

No, actually we haven't moved on. That comes on our terms, not yours. You would be the guilty party and we are the ones you tried to scam. It's not quite that easy.

I'll chime in. I've owned quite a few of these and this looks very fake. The paper doesn't look right along with 4 almost perfectly rounded corners. Just my two cents. If you want to know for sure just pay the $15-20 and send to SGC/PSA.

I looked at the "half" Gehrig card....it looks legit to me. Not sure why anyone would want a Gehrig card with his head cut off, but I'm fairly certain it is not a reprint.

I just looked at my phone and it does have a period, a comma, and a question mark. Maybe you should upgrade your phone, or just quit being so lazy.

It seems like one common thread among the scammers trying to sell fake cards is their lack of punctuation and grammar. If I ever decide to sell a fake Ruth I will make sure I use spell check to avoid suspicion.

I'm from Canada. You can write anyway you want, but as for me and for most (if not all on this board), appearing to be mature, at least somewhat educated and possessing the basic people-skills (especially when one is asking for advice from others) would all be considered pluses. Best of luck with your approach though!

The hole you are digging here will soon be so deep that we won't be able to hear your nonsense anymore.

"one time scammer" *shovel*; "thinks we should just move on, because he is sorry" *shovel*; "proud of piss-poor communication skills" *shovel*; "keeps being an ass because he can" *shovel*

Thanks for your service but I think the site could do without a member like you. As entertaining as this thread is.

I have never had a problem with anyone on this site and you are off to the worst start on this site because no one likes fake stuff and scammers.

Is it really so hard to at least use a period at the end of a sentence?
