Default Value of 1959 Topps 8.22 Avg. Set

I know this is probably a dumb question, but how can I figure out the value of a Topps 1959 set that has an average PSA grade of 8.22? Mantle and Gibson are 7’s, rest are 8’s and 9’s. Do I have to add up the SMR values of each card, or is there an easier way?

Any help or value estimates are appreciated.

Thanks

Don't use SMR. It is outdated and inaccurate. Use eBay completed listings and the PWCC Market Price Research Tool. Both are free.

Yes, definitely avoid SMR. And if the big stars like Mantle are centered they can command a rather significant premium over what average-looking examples in the same grade fetch.

You may want to check with an auctionhouse who has experience selling complete PSA graded sets. They do get sold that way, and sometimes at a slight premium to the sale values of the cards sold individually.
Is it Mile High that offers them both per card and by the whole set, and sells it for whichever style has the highest total bid?

REA sold an 8.06 set a couple of years ago for $45k. I hope that helps.

Ditto. I wish I could buy graded Mantle cards at SMR prices. We'd be partying like it's 2010 or something...
