Default T205 artwork opinion

Was just looking at the overall T205 set and had this question for you all (maybe this should be a poll?). Which layout do you like better, the American League with it's ornate border design or the National League with the big faces and signatures? PLEASE don't say BOTH, that's not the question. The question is which style appeals MORE to you purely in an artistic sense. I always leaned more towards the AL but am starting to appreciate the NL more and more.

National League. I have been partial to those since age 7. (any one remember those Dover reprint books by Burt Randolph Sugar?)
The actual facsimile signatures tip the scales for me too.

National. Not sure why.

Also, I've noticed that there must be more than one artist. Look at the players who have 2 cards, then compare the artwork with other players and you'll see what I mean.

love 'em both but if i could go back in time and it were up to me to choose one design for the entire set, i would choose the National Leagues.

Definitely AL, I love the ornate borders. I'm currently working on the T205 set precisely because the art is so nice to look at.

Default post NL scan

The T205 National League fans need to post some good looking NL'ers so people can see their value.

I'm undecided about which I like better...so no vote.

National...it has several of the nicest cards ever produced in my opinion...Matty, Evers, Jacklitsch, Tinker, McGraw, Kirb White, Rucker, Scanlan, Merkle and my all time fav. Wilhelm. Beautiful cards with the signatures!

National League, and it's not even close for me. The A.L. design is way too busy for my liking. The portrait of Matty is one of the most attractive cards ever produced IMHO and far nicer than any of his other tobacco issues.

I like the minor league designs best...then the Americans ....then the Nationals

How can you not like this card of the Big Train? And some day I will get a nice Cobb....I used to own a PSA 7 Johnson...it was probably the first card at 1k plus I ever bought...for the princely sum of 1800 from my later to be partner, Scott B. When I sold it off of ebay I met a guy in Wylie TX, at a Taco joint, to do the deal. Nothing like greasy tacos and refried beans to get a deal done!! I think it was Jerry H, maybe?? He ended up selling his collection, I believe, and had a high end set of T205s around 10 yrs ago.

The 12 Minor Leaguers appeal to me more than the "too busy" looking Major Leaguers. It appears that American Litho. designed the artwork
for these 12 - T205's at the same time they were doing their T80 series.

National. I think partially because the Mathewson for me is the most recognizable image in the set and tends to make me favor the larger head shot format.

Minor League, I like the colors and somewhat action pictures.
Then the American design over the National

Default sort of funny

Sort of Funny that in post #25 I said someday I will get a nice Cobby....I have shown it far too many times but that premonition came true.... Just because of the artwork I think it's one of my favorite cards.
