101) HERB PENNOCK Government postcard signed boldly in fountain pen and dated Jan 31st, 1945. Postmarked on the reverse Feb 1st, 1945. A Pitcher 1912-1934 For the Athletics, Yankees & Red Sox he is best rememembered as a member of the fabled 1927 New York Yankees World Champion Murderers Row team. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1948 the same year he died. $650.00
102) JACOB RUPPERT 1921 YANKEES PAYROLL CHECK ALSO SIGNED BY COLLEGE FOOTBALL HALL OF FAMER W. GLENN KILLINGER Check measures 3 1/4 x 9. Made out to Killinger as a bonus to play for the Yankees which he never did. Instead he pursued a Hall of Fame career in college Football mostly as a coach. The check is endorsed by him on the reverse. The front of the check is signed by Ruppert the most recent inductee into the Baseball Hall of Fame. As Yankees owner he is best remembered for bringing Babe Ruth to the Yankees and building Yankee stadium. He died in 1939. $650.00
103) THURMAN MUNSON 8x10 photo signed boldly in black felt tip pen on the reverse. Also signed by Gene Michael but could be matted and displayed seperately. The photo itself appears to be that of a little league team. The reverse of the photo also has the photographers stamp of "Edgewater Photo Service" There are a couple of subtle creases in the photo none of which affects or is close to the signature. Munson won the "Rookie of the Year Award in 1970 and the "Most Valuable Player" award in 1976. He was Yankees team captain from 1976 until his untimely death in 1979. $950.00
104) ROGER MARIS 3x5 index card signed perfectly on the unlined side in ball point. Won the "Most Valuable Player" award in 1960 & 1961 he will always be remembered best for breaking Babe Ruth's single season home run record in 1961. Maris died in 1985. $450.00
105) MICKEY MANTLE 1968 AUTOGRAPH ALBUM PAGE measures 5x6. Bold ball point signature. Also signed by Andy Kosco but is far enough away from the Mantle that it could be seperated and displayed as a single. Would make a GREAT addition to the Maris autograph listed above. Although he did quite a few baseball card shows Mantle autographs from his playing days and especially on album pages or 3x5's are especially tough to find. $250.00
106) MICKEY MANTLE SINGLE SIGNED BASEBALL perfect specimen signed on the sweet spot of an official American League Bobby Brown baseball. I obtained this baseball from the original collector who obtained the autograph IN-PERSON at a Dallas Texas baseball card show. Comes with ball cube for display. $450.00
108) WHITEY FORD SINGLE SIGNED BASEBALL Official American League Bobby Brown baseball signed on the sweet spot. Comes with ball cube for display. $65.00
109) ELSTON HOWARD GOVERNMENT POSTCARD ROOKIE SIGNED ONE MONTH AFTER HIS MAJOR LEAGUE DEBUT Postmarked on the reverse May 18th 1955. Significant in that Howard made history on April 14th 1955 when he began the first African American to play in a game for the New York Yankees. Signed boldly in fountain pen. The gpc has been trimmed to 3x5 in size. The fact that he was a twelve time member of the All Star team and 1963 "Most Valuable Player" makes him an almost certain future Hall of Famer. His career with the Yankees spanned 1955-1967. He died in 1980. $250.00
110) BILLY MARTIN Autographed album page measures 4 1/2 x 6. Signed boldly in ball point by Martin when he was manager of the Minnesota Twins in 1969. Future Hall of Famer. $100.00
111) CASEY STENGEL Original snapshot photo measures 3 x 4 1/2. The photo is of player Dick Errickson taken in 1939. The reverse is signed by CASEY STENGEL and Nick Strincevich. The signatures are bold and in fountain pen and the Stengel stands alone and could be displayed as a single. $100.00
112) SNUFFY STIRNWEISS Vintage exhibit blank back postcard measures 3 x 5 1/4. Pictured in Yankees uniform. Bold signature on light portion , the corners are slightly rounded but overall would display nicely. Stirnweiss was the 1945 Batting champion and played for the Yankees 1943-1950, also played for the Browns and Cleveland. He died in a train accident in 1958. $150.00
114) STEVE SUNDRA signature from a document measures aprox 1x4. A pitcher for the Yankees 1936, 1938-1940 including the legendary 1939 Yankees. Also played for 1941-1942 Senators and 1942-1944 & 1946 Browns. He is considered the toughest autograph from both the 1939 Yankees and pennant winning 1944 Browns. Illness prevented him from signing from 1950 until his untimely death in 1952. $200.00
115) BEN PASCHAL 3x5 index card. Played for Cleveland in 1915 and Red Sox 1920. And the Yankees in 1924-1929. Best remembered as a member of the fabled 1927 Murderers Row Yankees team he died in 1974. $250.00
116) JULIAN WERA 3x5 index card signed on the lined side and has also written "1927 New York Yankees" a reference to his playing on the famous murderers row NY Yankees a team which many consider the greatest team of all time. He died in 1975. $200.00
118) GEORGE PIPGRAS 3x5 index card. A pitcher for the 1927 New York Yankees (Died-1986) $35.00
