Default Were Jay Publishing Photos & Stadium Issues the Same ?

Were the Jay Publishing Photos and the photos that were sold at the Stadiums in packets considered the same ? Do Jay Publishing Photos come with both ( for example ) "Detroit Tigers" and "Tigers " only ? I'm being told from PSA, that photos without the city (only Tigers) are not Jay Publishing. Any comments ?

I believe that Jay Publishing and team issues are two different things. I am not an expert on the subject so I can't tell you what the differences are.

I have collected Stadium Photo packs for many years. Most of mine precede the Jay Publishing issues. These were Harry M. Stevens Publishing photos.
They were packaged in a mailing envelope containing 25 photos.

As I recall, the Jay's were issued in 12-player packages and were smaller size pictures than the examples I have posted here. I'll scan my Jay's and post
them.

Note....that the BOND BREAD and BOWMAN Gum Co. used many of these photos to create their BB card sets in 1947 and 1949 (and 1950), respectively.

Harry M. Stevens Publishing ...... !920's >> 1960's Yearbooks and team photo packs.

Jay Publishing ...... !952 >> 1960's Yearbooks and team photo packs

Yankees 25-photo team pack sold at Yankee Stadium (1947 >> 1950's)

Dodgers 25-photo team pack sold at Ebbets Field (1940 >> 1950's)

Indians 25-photo team pack sold at Muncipal Stadium (my set is 1948)

I'm not sure I have answered your question, but I hope these pictures help.

I don't know about the photos, but the Jay Yearbooks were definitely not the same as the Official Yearbooks put out by the teams. Hope this helps.
