Default Ty Cobb Autograph

I've been looking around for awhile for a cool Cobb auto to add to my collection, I found this one on Ebay. I was hoping some of you could give me some feed back on an auto as unique as this one. It's got the cool factor, but I'm not sure if it's worth the 2,000 starting bid price. thanks guys for your help!

PSA has a price guide for autographs. I'm sure it's not completely accurate, but it may be a decent place to start. They list a signed 3 x 5 card at 800, a picture at 1,750, and a signed check at 1,000.

Personally, if you could really find a picture for that price I'd rather have it than the dollar bill. But if you like it that might not be too far off.

I've also done deals with Bryan (not for Cobb items). I can tell you, he is great to work with.

+1. By far the coolest Cobb autograph I have seen belongs to a member of this board--a PSA/DNA authenticated 1907 Dietsche Fielding Pose Cobb rookie. This is a one of one, and likely to remain so (a few years ago an REA staff member characterized the card alone as "beyond rare," and wanted me to consign mine. I told him I figured I'd wait a few decades and see what happens!).

Good hunting,

Larry

I have this one available if you want it. Price is $1500 firm NET to me via paypal. Includes a full LOA from JSA if that interests you.

It is a fantastic Cobb letter written on several of his personal note cards. Shows an intensely personal side of the Peach.

"I am going to ward off with God's help the "bow out" or final curtain as long as possible." Even the great Ty Cobb recognized his own mortality. $1500

Just giving my two cents here. A letter written by Ty and signed by him cheaper than a dollar bill is way better than a dollar bill. Don't let the PSA hook you.
