I picked up another Chief Meyers T206 portrait that arrived today. It's the card on the right. I figured the 3 cards with slightly different background colors would look cool together.

Jay,

Where'd you get a scan of my 4BH Kelly? I was going to post Hal's Wagner but I figured everyone would have figured that one out...

What do you mean your 4BH? It's mine now

My collection can't rival Zach's though.

I like to sit outside, drink beer and yell at people. If I did this at home, I would be arrested. So, I go to baseball games and fit right in.

Steve: you realize those Mathewson and Cobb cards represent two ends of the vintage spectrum -- the T206 Matthewson portrait being one of the prettiest cards of one of the greatest players ever (and Matthewson happened to be a great human being too), with the W515 Cobb being perhaps the ugliest card of one of the greatest players ever (and Cobb was one of the worst human beings).

I recall a previous thread of the ugliest cards, and I beleive the W515 Cobb was mentioned (it certainly qualifies).

None if this is meant to disparage the W515 Cobb, still a nice pick-up!

Couple beaters I just got in mail last couple days.

If not for the tape and tape removal damage the deLong would have been very nice, good price though. The Zeenut is actually nicer than I thought.

Welcome Peter. Like the Weaver pennant and the Red Sox stuff.

Josh, looks like Ricky Rodent gotta hold of poor Hans shoulder. Ive an beat up T201 with a similar chunk missing. Seems they get a good mouthful of ink then move along.

Hey Steve - yep, I agree it definitely looks like a rat got a meal out of that card. That's ok though - at least the rat didnt crease the thing and he certainly saved me some money

Brian- I bid on that card some and would have really chased it if I hadn't already had an olive one. Great card for a great price, congrats. I can't figure out why the card wasn't graded higher.

Yes TBOB,
The card looks a bit better than a pr-fr PSA 1, but I won't argue with the price. Perhaps bidders thought the worst, but it really is a great card !
Of course, I collect cards in ANY grade, so they are all Familytoad 10's to me!
Happy Collecting

Would you mind shooting me an email regarding the M116 Johnson you just acquired?
I have one very similar and I am considering my options with it. It's a stunning card!
