Default T206 trivia

Posted By: Darren

I'm toying with the idea of developing a board game based on T206 trivia. I have a bank of questions that fall into the following categories:
1. the Players
2. the Teams
3. the Brands(the backs)
4. the Poses(the fronts)
5. the Oddities and Rarities
6. Catch-all

examples of a question:
Which player has the most different poses in T206?
Red Kleinow is featured on what two different teams in T206?
Which T206 reverse is considered most rare? What color is it?
How many T206 poses are known of Honus Wagner?
Sovereign, Polar Bear, Piedmont, Sweet Caporal, etc. are all brands under what industry conglomerate?

Any questions?

Would you be able to come up with enough trivia to keep the game fresh and interesting? Would it make more sense to create a game with questions about all vintage cards, thus expanding the universe of information?

I agree with Barry. Maybe make it about deadball era stars and include not only card questions but trivia about the players as well.
for example:
Name a card set that shows the same pose of honus wagner from the t206 set - Sporting Life
what player on a tobacco card lived longer than any other? - chester hoff
What hall of famer appears on a tobacco card but less than any other hall of famer that appears on a tobacco card? - answer - jack chesbro
etc. etc etc

Absolutely Barry. Expanding the subject matter will by nature dilute the intended subject matter. Though it does make sense to start general and then get more specific. And yes, I do have enough questions to keep it fresh, at least for awhile.

The Vintage Baseball Card Genus edition categories
1. Tobacco Cards
2. Candy Cards
3. 19th Century
4. Deadball Era
5. Miscellany

Have you come up with the rules for the game? Will it be like Trivial Pursuit?

Trivia Question:

Which T207 card mentions Christy Mathewson?

By the way, fun idea Darren. Sorry to hijack.

That's a good one Robert, I have no idea.

This one is really obscure, but which T207 mentions Long Island College Hospital (interesting to me as I live a two blocks away from it)?

Yes Barry,

I have been throwing around a couple of ideas....but seem to always come back to Trivial Pursuit-like play. It would be great fun decorating a board in TP fashion.
