Is the orange sticker actually on the front of this slab? Would hate to try and get the sticky residue off if it is really stuck on there.

I would imagine that it is on there. All you have to do is peel what you can off and use goo gone to take off the residue. Edited to add: Just make sure to use goo gone and not goof off. I don't know what is in goof off, but it will eat through the plastic.

Goo Gone is citrus based. Goof Off is petroleum based. If the smell doesn't knock you out, be sure not to use Goof Off near any open flames!

I don't understand why dealers still put labels on graded cards. If they spend a nickel on a graded card sleeve the label can go on the sleeve and the card will be protected from scratches.

Goo gone, Goo off, why should a buyer have to even deal with it.
Stickers on slabs are a royal pain in the ass. Any dealer who uses
them and is reading this post, please stop using them, immediately.

Thank you, Tony Andrea

As Scott mentioned, the sticker would become dated very fast and would be misleading as the pop reports change. I tried to remove a price sticker covering the hologram of a PSA slab once and the hologram got rubbed completely off, leaving fine scratches behind. Slabs like this cause me to adjust my bids down accordingly.

Surprisingly.... WD-40 works very well on this typr of residue. Just apply a few drops to the sticky area, rub gently with a cloth, and it will all come off. No scratching or tell-tale signs of removal, either.

Give it a try if need be!

I received a slabbed card in the mail last week and the seller used a great deal of clear packing tape on the slab and surrounding cardboard and it was a horrible mess! Luckily Goo Gone to the rescue and although the slab smells a tad lemony every bit of stickiness is gone happy.gif
