Default Can you help identify this player?

I got this card in Japan and was hoping someone can help identify the player. It dates from 1930 and I believe it is a Major Leaguer. I previously had a card from this set identified as Paul Waner. The Japanese text says "ball" so there are no clues as to his identity. The back is blank. Thank you.

Default Based on two physical attributes...

a purely wild guess would be: Pepper Martin, the Wild Horse of the Osage. (Based on the player being right handed and having a nose similar to old Pepper's.)

If the date (1930) is accurate, however, the likelihood of it being Martin is nil. By the end of the 1930 season, Pepper Martin had just 17 plate appearances total from the 1928 and '30 seasons.
