"American" after team designation, instead of "Amer.".

You beat Scott by 1 min.

Now can anyone explain what's so special about Demmitt....that his caption reads "American".....
while all other dual city, AL players have "Amer." ?

I heard a rumor there's a variation on Demmitt showing "Amer" instead of "American".

I think we need a ruling on the field here. Barry was first with a correct answer. Plus it was funny. That's gotta count for something.

I think they needed to designate Demmitt as American because O'Hara is Canadian

Ted,
While we're on the subject of captions, have you noticed that the team designation on some of the Giants subjects, for example, Devore and McGraw (Hands at Hip), is "New York, Nat'l" whereas the team designation on most of the Giants subjects is "N.Y., Nat'l"? What gives there?
