100) 1934 BROOKLYN DODGERS DINNER MENU WITH 22 AUTOGRAPHS INCLUDING HALL OF FAME MEMBER HACK WILSON (Died-1948), AND EXTREMELY RARE AUTOGRAPHS OF CHICK FRASER (Died-1940), & CHARLES PERKINS menu measures 4 1/4 x 7 and is signed both sides. Dated April 19th, 1934 and heading at top reads "Cresent Athletic-Hamilton Club , Brooklyn Dodgers Dinner" All have signed in pencil except for Charles Perkins. The Rarity of Perkins autograph was a mystery for many years he played only two seasons in the major leagues in 1930 for the Athletics and 1934 for Brooklyn when this item was signed. After 1934 he virtually vanished. An astute collector "found" him in 1988 and had him sign two items then reported his address to Jack Smalling for the address list before the information could be made available to the collecting community Perkins died in May of 1988. The front is signed by the following DUTCH LEONARD, JIM BUCHER, CLYDE SUKEFORTH, LESLIE MUNNS, RAY BERRES, AL LOPEZ (Hall of Fame), WALTER BECK, CHICK CUCCINELLO, The blank reverse is inscribed at the top "To Charles Staatmore (?) 101) 1952 WORLD SERIES PROGRAM DODGERS VS YANKEES AT YANKEE STADIUM SIGNED ON THE COVER BY CONNIE MACK, CLARK GRIFFITH, BUCKY HARRIS & BILL VEECK Unscored inside program is in very good condition with only very minor wear and slight staining inside. The cover is signed by the three Hall of Famers listed above. All signatures are signed in blue steel tip fountain pen. Due to the porous nature of the paper on the front of the program and the type of ink the signatures appear especially bold especially the Griffith who in 1952 at his advanced age was signing very slowly. CLARK GRIFFITH first made his mark on baseball as a pitcher from 1891-1914 later as owner and executive of the Washington Senators. He was inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame in 1946 and died in 1955. CONNIE MACK , 19th century player and long time A's manager inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame in 1937, He died in 1956. BUCKY HARRIS best remembered as manager of the Washington Senators and New York Yankees, He was inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame in 1975 and died in 1977. BILL VEECK pioneer executive and team owner inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1991 five years after his death in 1986. Unique and historical item signed by FOUR of the most influential executives and managers of the era. $550.00
102) GOOSE GOSLIN AUTOGRAPHED 8X10 PHOTO Exceedingly RARE autograph to find on an 8x10 and this is the first one I have ever offered ! Perfect portrait image of a young Goslin in Washington Senators uniform signed and inscribed on the light portion "Hello Tom , Good Luck GOOSE GOSLIN" a 10 of 10 !!! Has PSA sticker on the reverse which does not affect the autograph and could be removed if desired. Although Goslin's autograph is not particularly scarce or rare he is VERY tough to find on a signed photo. Was 1928 Batting champion and 1924 RBI leader, played 1921-38 Washington, Browns & Tigers. Best remembered as a member of the World Champion 1924 Senators team. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1968 and died in 1971 $750.00
103) HEINIE MANUSH AUTOGRAPHED 8X10 PHOTO Exceedingly rare autograph to find on an 8x10 photo and this one is a beauty ! Portrait photo with a perfect fountain pen signature on the light portion a 10 of 10 ! the reverse of the photo is dated in pencil 1934 no doubt a reference to when the photo was taken or signed. Although I've sold hundreds of Manush autographs over the years I can not remember the last time I have offered him on an 8x10 if ever. Manush was the 1926 batting leader and played from 1923-1939 for the Tigers , Browns, Senators, Red Sox , Dodgers and Pirates. The ULTIMATE upgrade for any collector ! Inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1964 he died in 1971. $550.00
104) ERNIE LOMBARDI ORIGINAL 4X6 BURKE PHOTO Sensational image signed and inscribed in fountain pen "To Charles , from ERNIE LOMBARDI" Pictured in Reds uniform. Has original "Geo. Burke" Studios stamp on reverse considered the PREMIER baseball photographer of his or any other era. Double weight photo with mat finish could not be nicer ! Lombardi was an 8 time All Star catcher who owns the unique distinction of having caught BOTH of Johnny Vander Meer's back to back No-Hitters. He won the "Most Valuable Player" award in 1938 and played in the major leagues from 1931-1947 for the Reds, Dodgers, Braves, Giants. The Ultimate upgrade for any autograph collection ! he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1986 almost a decade after his death in 1977. $450.00
105) MICKEY MANTLE VINTAGE 1952 YANKEES AUTOGRAPHED ALBUM PAGE Measures 4x6 and is signed in FOUNTAIN PEN by a then 21 year old MICKEY MANTLE !!! Playing in only his second season in the major leagues. Also signed by team mates JIM McDONALD & BOBBY HOGUE. The reverse is signed by BILLY MARTIN, PHIL RIZZUTO & CHARLIE SILVERA. The Mantle which is a pristine 10 of 10 graces the top of the page and could be removed in order to display seperately. All of the autographs on the page were obtained in-person in 1952 and comes from a date specific autograph book which I purchased intact. An iconic Yankee his 536 career home runs, 3 time MVP award winner and 1956 Triple Crown places him among the elite of all members of the Hall of Fame he was inducted in 1974 and died in 1995.$650.00

113) HERB GORMAN AUTOGRAPHED 1952 SAN DIEGO PADRES TEAM SIGNED BASEBALL Considered to be one of the ALL TIME toughest autographs in the hobby. Gorman had only one major league at bat in 1952 for the Cardinals and died in 1953 at the age of only 28 years old ! Signed nicely on a panel of the team ball and is one of the boldest signatures on the ball. Official ball has yellowed and toned some signatures are lighter than others but the "key" signature here that of Gorman would grade a strong 7 on a scale of 1 to 10. The baseball is also signed by many players that would enjoy successfull major league careers. Fountain pen signatures, Drews pitched for the Yankees & Phillies he was killed by a drunk driver in 1963. EDDIE WAITKUS was the inspiration for "The Natural" when he was shot and almost killed by a deranged female fan in a Chicago hotel room. He died in 1972. 115) SAD SAM JONES Portion of a 1952 Autograph album page measures 2 1/2 x 4 1/2. Also signed by Joe Tipton. A tough autograph and non-signer in 1955 he became the first African American pitcher in the major leagues to pitch a no-hitter. He died in 1971. $175.00
