Arrived at USPS Regional Origin Facility

MONTGOMERY AL DISTRIBUTION CENTER

Note: my initial tracking verifying label printing also suggested Houston.

Imagine that, my recent "Little Rock" purchase from alt Candiman has also landed in Montgomery.

Candiman, candiman ----- Pants on Fire

I purchased Lot #1356 from the March Candiman auction, that was unsold, from alt Candiman, purportedly from Little Rock, on eBay. Scans and description of the listing matched those of the Candiman March auction.

1-1-1-Candiman Postal 2.jpg

The discrepancy between the return address on the label 72209 (a Little Rock zip code) and the mailed from zip code of 77209 (a Houston zip code) is likely a typo.

Initial tracking for the package however indicates that the package was processed through Montgomery, Alabama only, on its way west. The shipment arrived in 2 days, so this is clearly not a misdirected parcel by USPS which can end up anywhere.

The cards would seem to have come from Dothan, but feel free to draw your own conclusions.

One positive note is that the cards were described as MINT to GEMMINT, which is perhaps a slight exaggeration, but they do appear to have not been handled.

In fact I am so proud of my purchase that I am posting the "stars" on the April Pickup Thread. Consistent with Candiman Auctions practice, I will not be posting the backs.

Reminds me of the Little Feat song

And I've been from Dothan to Houston to Little Rock....

Yes Little Feat but possibly the Johnny Cash song " I've Been Everywhere "could also be appropriate.

Or a little Charlie Pride.

Is any package going to San Antone?
Or Phoenix, Arizona?
Any place is alright as long as I can forget I've ever known ya Candiman.

Is it something on my end, or is the preview for the April candiman auction still not up? Was this preview not advertised to be up on Saturday April 7?

Why bother. You are just bidding against the house anyway.

Still not up. Must be busy creating new eBay accounts, friends, and geographic locations to handle the non paying bidders. The many consignors for this next auction are probably getting very nervous.

Just in case any member hasn't been here long enough, my reference to opening Monday was what GAI used to always say when they were going out of business/out of business. I have no idea about these guys.

Oh yeah, I caught the reference. Whether I've been here long enough, who knows? Not yet, anyway...

The preview went up earlier, and appears to consist of 3 cards.

Yup, I guess he almost always never keeps his word on time.

No wonder it is late considering the content of the preview.

I always hate when people say stuff like this.

"This is a high end example with visual qualities far exceeding the assigned grade. This card would be a great candidate for resubmission."

Kinda begs the question.

Buy this card and don't be afraid to pay much more than it's value, then resubmit to PSA for a higher grade and a financial windfall for both of us. By the way, we don't guarantee what PSA will do, so don't blame us when PSA disagrees with our expert opinion.

Yes, when I went to an online translator - English-to-English - that's exactly the result!
