I bought this several years back and haven't found any info on it. Does anyone know of the St. Paul Crawfords? The players name on the back is J Malley.

Try sending an e mail to Stew Thornley at: stew@stewthornley.net

No one in the world knows more about baseball in Minnesota than he does. He has written many books on minnesota baseball history, all of which are tremendous. If he can't help you, no one can.
Good luck

I'd like to thank Mike for putting me in touch with Stew Thornley, who with the help of Fred Buckland identified my photo. The players name was Jim O' malley. He was a catcher for St. Paul between the years 1899-1904.

This is the absolute reason we are all here....to collect with our friends and help each other....There is a lot of power in the Net54 board. I have gotten private emails from some lurkers that most would be surprised of.....I have seen a ton of situations like this and they make me happy to be a very small part of it each time...I think most board members have seen many things like this too and they certainly outweigh the minor issues we have....best regards

The sharing of information on this site is awesome. The identity may never have been found if not for this site and the advent of computers. It really amazes me when someone posts an unknown photo, how many responses they get. There really is a great amount of knowledge on this site.

Maybe we need to have a photo challenge each week and see if we can identify them.
