Default Reporting the discovery of two new T206 DRUM cards

A recent T206 find in the St Louis area includes three DRUM cards....two of these DRUM's were heretofore unknown.

The new DRUM cards are Hayden and Schreck. The 3rd DRUM is LaPorte (only one was previously confirmed).

These 3 cards have been graded by SGC. The Hayden is an SGC 10, and Schreck is an SGC 10. This discovery raises
the total number of confirmed DRUM cards to 151 different subjects.

My updated list of DRUM cards will appear in the following post here.

I do find it interesting that there have been four new Drums to come out of the St. Louis area in less than a year, which includes Scott Tiek's (cardsfan73) find of Starr last year. It makes me want to scour the city looking for more.

Hi Chris

I have scans of these three cards, prior to them being graded.

Currently, I'm having technical problem. I'll try to get them posted when it's corrected.

Hi Jason

Approx. 6 years ago, Ron Oser was contacted by a St Louis resident who had a T205/T206 find which included 51 - DRUM cards.

T206 DRUM's = 43 cards

T205 DRUM's = 8 cards

Is this a fantastic find....or, what ?

Very impressive Ted. I never knew that St. Louis was a hot bed for Drums. It still floors me that Scott found his not two miles from where I sit, at an antique store that I have been in numerous times. I was very happy for him, and admittedly, a little jealous

Default August Auction

Yes, we are going to have a summer auction but it will not be a Live auction. The ending format will be the 30-minute clock just like our Spring and Fall catalog auctions.

T206 resource also shows Ames (hands over head) with AMERICAN BEAUTY 460 and UZIT backs.....and, these front/back combos do not exist.

In 35 years that I have been collecting T206's, I have never seen (or heard of) the Blue Chase with a DRUM back. And, I'm constantly searching for blue Chase cards.

........v

I could say the same for Matty (dark cap). Perhaps some one else will chime in here with scans of these cards.

These 2 guys with DRUM backs are theoretically possible; and, as this thread shows....DRUM cards continue to "come out of the woodwork ". So, they may yet be discovered.

We all make mistakes, with the amount of information provided it would be
pretty close to impossible not to have a couple of errors. I had a Cycle 460
that was unconfirmed a few years ago and Tim asked me for front and back
scans before he would add it to the confirmed list. The Ames has been on the
confirmed list for a long time so it could be a data entry error or an error from
mis-information before they started requesting scans of the card before they would
confirm a combo.

AMERICAN BEAUTY 350 and CYCLE 350 brands have indeed met this criteria. BROAD LEAF 350 and DRUM are still a work in progress.

Furthermore......one DRUM card from the 350/460 series remains to be found......

Back in April, I received a call from an old friend in the St Louis area, who informed me of the find of these three DRUM's. He asked me to stay silent about these cards
while the finder shopped them around. Now, that these cards have been consigned to Heritage, I decided to post this thread.

So, here is the scan of Ossee Schreck. Scans of the other two DRUM's will be posted soon.

The backs of all three look off center the same amount top to bottom and
left to right, maybe they came from the same sheet.

Hey Pat

I think you have the beginning of a new project here with your observation regarding these three DRUM cards.

Conceivably, you could figure out the composition of a given DRUM sheet by checking-out all the known DRUM
cards with these exact off-center backs.

It's a highly probable undertaking, as most DRUM cards are unique (or only 2 examples are known of each).
