Default Player List Help

This is something I should probably know, but where can I find a complete list of issued cards, standard issue and oddball alike, for Ted Williams or any player? I think I am going to give set building a rest for a while and collect HOF star cards for a while, starting with Teddy Ballgame. Thanks in advance, guys

Default player lists

Generally: www.vintagecardprices.com will have the majority. However, many of the collectors on this board will be able to ad a few that aren't on that list. Great start there though. Have fun!

Beckett has an Alphabetical Baseball Card Checklist book that came out in 2005. They may be on Amazon or Banes and Nobles website.

Another great starting point is the PSA population report. It does not include many of the team cards, but you can often pick those up by looking at the PSA set registry. Between those two sources, you can probably identify 95% of the cards. When I was compiling my Mantle list, I started with those then went to the Sports Collectors Digest to identify/fill in any gaps.

Al, is it possible to see that list if one doesn't have a PSA membership? Thanks.

Robert--I looked up the Williams list on their site, psacard.com, this morning and am not a member. I think registration is free anyway. I do not collect graded cards but like to know what they include in their master set lists. But you should be able to go to their set registry link, then baseball, then player sets...at least I did this morning

Al, I appreciate the help. I no longer collect graded cards either so I wasn't sure if I could get to the list or not, but since you don't collect graded cards either I will be able to get there, too. Thanks again.

Becketts Online Price Guide may be of some help. You don't have to buy the subscription to the OPG to look up info.

Default Got it!

Thanks everyone for your help, I finally got home and had the time to look and was able to find what I needed. I used to have a '51 Bowman. It is still one of my favorite cards. I may start with that one.

This is a good resource I've used for player lists:

http://www.tradingcarddb.com

Here's another good one:

http://www.sportscardslist.com

I've used both and cross-referenced as needed, then put them into a spreadsheet.

Good luck with the collection!
