Hi Guys,
I'm getting tired of the board... I don't care what Jim C does or says...
He is a small part of the Hobby... so why do you care what he thinks??

Be well Brian

He is the MOST hypocritical person on this board. he likes to hide behind his computer but doesn't have the balls to call Doug or Kevin S (to pick out his trimmed cards). of course, we should all bow down since he has a "special deal" with joe orlando for his coveted psa 8 collection regrades.

Watermelons have more seeds than cherries, by volume.

Cherries have a greater percentage of seed than watermelons.

I'm with you, Brian. Here's a baseball card. Nothing special, just a card from my collection that I like. It makes me happy, even though it's low-grade. Remember baseball cards? Anyone got any?

Brian I agree, the fact he has his own thread is odd. It's really nothing at this point short of a dance hall where he's constantly crowning himself prom queen over and over and over. I used to think perhaps he really did have a passion about doing something good for the hobby, but at this point it’s clear at least to me his intentions are self serving at best.

Anyways I agree back to cards…I was very jealous to see how many of these Red Hindus you have as I have been going over my 1000+ T206’s and updating the super set list.

Feeling the love, Jim?

Sorry for bringing it up but that other thread reminds me for some reason of the Seinfeld episode when Kramer sets up his apartment with Merv Griffin's furniture. Jim is just so damn affable in his thread (so long as you don't attack him anyway). It's rather comical and not to be taken seriously in my humble PSA2 opinion. Anyone get the idea he's not in on the joke?

Edited to add: Dav scan scabbed off eBay. Don't own the card.

John- awesome Red Hindu!

i have always thought that kleinow's catching pose had an intertesting printing flaw...

if you look at his mask, just to the left of his eye, it looks almost as if his eye is double printed between the metal of the mask...

follow me?

Was talking with Leon, Barry, Mike and Joe over drinks. Think I will make time this year as I have never been, Leon promised me a beer PBR to be exact. He says and I quote "best beer in the world, they just dont go around handing out blue ribbons to anyone!"

Love to meet you finally.

Hi John,
I'll be around town for a week, so Beers are on me... PBR is a bit rough, but we can fix that. I'll give you a shout in a couple of weeks and maybe we can hang at Wrigley or grab some lunch or dinner....

More Red Hindu's...

breaking out the PBR? When in Chicago, you are obligated to drink at least one Old Style. Makes you appreciate a good beer (draw your own conclusions from that).

BTW, while I may not care what Jim thinks, I respect his right to think it (even if I have heard it a time or two before).

David, nice Vic D card. Would love to see a run of those over on the post-war side, as Vic was in quite a few issues.

brian- i'm hanging-low this week...been partying too damn much.

speaking of PBR, there's a cool bar in the lower east side of manhattan called Arlene's Grocery...from the outside it looks liek a typical NYC deli, once inside, it is a down and dirty bar with live bands...PBR's are the beverage of choice there, only $2.

be well

It seems almost redundant for me to jump on the bandwagon at this point. But I agree that this hobby is bigger than any single individual .. Jim included.

I personally don't know Jim, at all, although I've gotta admit that typically people who cause this much of a stir are fairly influential/important or no one would listen in the first place.

But I do know Brian W. and not only have great admiration for him as a collector, I consider him to be a pretty fair person and also a friend. So Brian....I got your back bud

Regards,
Scott

Brian, I'm with you!

Love the direction this thread has gone. I am not a big T206 collector, but love seeing the different backs.

I'd post a recent acquisition, but I'm too tired.

Hooray for old cardboard, regardless of condition.
