Default Should I have bought this card? (T206 @ Flea Market)

This past Sunday I went to a Flea Market and found a T206 Chief Bender w/ trees PSA 2 for $50.

I don't know much about the T206 set, too early for my collection, but I did some research on eBay and found conflicting things about completed sales.

What do you think? Yes? No?

SMR says it is worth $75, but cards never sell for SMR prices. I say you'd only break even.

That's assuming he wanted to sell it again after buying it? Also, the reason you see conflicting things about sales in PSA 2 is hopefully because people are buying the card inside and not just a holder that says PSA 2. If not, and people really do just want a PSA 2 holder, I believe I have a couple. There aren't any cards inside but I'd be willing to sell for $50 each (or even less)

Depends on the eye appeal of the card, regardless of grade.
Got a scan?

I agree that we'd need to see a scan of the card, but I think you did fine. $50.00 for an HOF'er in GD condition is reasonable.

Those who said no buy flips, not cards. All 2's aren't the same. Agreed that there is no way to tell without a scan.

Most likely you paid about retail. MIght be able to make a little on the flip, but not near as much as most people would need to make to make it worth the trouble.

Depending on what the card looks like. At least probably ok at that price

I would think you could negotiate a bit at a flea mkt. If I could have gotten it for $42.50 or maybe $45 I do it. But that would be to keep it for myself. Flipping it for say $10 or $15 after costs to sell it would not be worth the hassle in my opinion.

$50 for an average PSA 2 Bender is a pretty good deal, I'd say.

To all,

I didn't buy the card, but if anyone really wants it I can point them in the direction of said flea market
