Reminds me of the PSA 10 Jordan rookie that was mentioned in a fairly recent thread. I'll try to find a link to it.

By the way, this also occurred in Colorado.

Here are images from that thread. Note the same fake characteristics on the PSA flip (the second card pictured).

There was a posting on the HudsonValley ( NY ) Craigslist for a PSA 10 Chamberlain RC / PSA 10 Montana RC / PSA 10 Jordan Rc and a few other PSA 10 Rc's....

I called the seller and he said his Dad was sick and he needed the money and was selling the cards at a dsicount. I knew it was some type of a fraud!

I then checked cards I bought on Ebay ( graded ) and they all checked out except one. A 1968 Nolan Ryan RC graded 4....I looked at the beckett slab and realized that someone had carefully pried open and slid in a trimmed Nolan Ryan RC card!! Thus, my graded card is worthless.

Please everyone, beware of slabbed cards along with all the other hazzards !!

Oral Roberts with the assistance of Harry Houdini could not slip a trimmer into a Beckett slab .
There are few absolutes in life ; Beckett puts their graded cards in one of them.

+1 for BVG anyways. I'm not so sure about a BCCG slab though.

Exactly correct...

If you plan on cracking out a BVG-holdered card, get a sledge hammer, a long-sleeved shirt, and wear some goggles. Then, after that doesnt work, beat it to death with a hammer/chisel.

Glad it worked out. Might want to thank Leon and the moderators on your way out. Again, congratulations and best of luck.

NO thanks needed here but thanks for the thoughts Greg.

As for our new member, ezez420, we love to have new members but in the future, if you post, please don't delete your posts. You could have easily said, in your very last post, that you got a refund and it all worked out. As it is the thread doesn't look very good due to your deletions. thanks a lot and happy collecting!! (and be careful on Craigslist for cards, there are a ton of scammers)
