Default Show your season passes

Love the old season passes.
My "sweet spot" is minor league, particularly Northwest and West Coast. I'll post some NW/Left Coast ones later, but for now, here are a few other early minor league passes.
Let's see yours!

Default 1901 St. Louis Cardinals season pass

In 1901 St. Louis (NL) was the site of HOF Christy Mathewson's 1st career no-hitter against the Cardinals.
Pass is signed by Frank deHass Robison, which was the owner of both the Cards and the Cleveland Spyders.

For the record, I own the pass, but not the photo. I believe that perhaps someone else on the board owns this image. I saved the image because I liked it so much.

Default Portland PCL / NWL

The McCredies owned the Portland Beavers Pacific Coast League team and the Portland Colts Northwestern League team. Walter McCredie managed the Beavers. William Wallace McCredie was a judge, politician, and team co-owner. Photos of them are beneath the passes, Walter in 1906 at Spring Training and William Wallace in about 1910 on a day at the beach. Loads of similar material is on the website below if you're interested. As for the passes...

*The 1909 pass is Walter McCredie's pass to Northwestern League games.

*Walter's blue 1909 pass to Chicago Cubs games follows.

*Next is a 1913 Pacific Coast League pass that has a note by and the original signature of William Wallace McCredie.

*Last is a Portland 1918 pass to Pacific Coast International League games issued to the sports editor of Portland's Oregon Journal newspaper. The Beavers had been dropped from the Pacific Coast League. Weather, geography, train travel taxes, and Portland's low attendance were the reasons W.W. McCredie gave for their exclusion.

Modern, but I used to own a bunch of MLB and Minor League full league season passes from estate auction of Harry Dalton, longtime MLB GM.

Shown before but it's my only one. I think it used to be in an SGC holder before I got it.
1903 American League Season Pass. Some tidbits-

Historically important -
This is a ticket to the very first season of New York Yankees baseball games.
This is a ticket to the very first World Series games.
This is a ticket to that 28 win Cy Young season as he leads the Red Sox to the very first World Series victory.

PSA grades it a 5 (although a great grade - imo is on the harsh side / it is in beautiful condition).

There have been some awesome season passes in this thread. I think the art on the PCL passes is very nice. I only have four and like David's (DRCY) they are much more modern. Despite their recent vintage the 1971 and 1972 passes were very difficult for me to find.

1971 no explanation required
1972 Clemente's 3000th
1973 The Cobra's rookie season
1967 Clemente's 4th and final batting title.

This is a fascinating thread. Here are some of my favorite season passes.

The Indianapolis Indians and the Pittsburgh Pirates are interesting typographically.

1915 Indianapolis Indians front.jpg
1918 Pirates.jpg

The Cubs utilized bear-cub images in the early 1920s as these two examples illustrate.

Cubs pass 1922.jpg
Cubs pass 1923.jpg

The 1931 Boston Braves picture former star players on the back of their season pass, including Cy Young in the front row of the wagon.

1931 Braves front.jpg
1931 Braves back.jpg

The 1930 Boston Braves season pass medallion is a stunning example.

1930 Boston Braves-front .jpg
1930 Boston Braves-back.jpg

The 1939 Giants acknowledged the Centennial year of baseball.

1939 NY Giants season pass frt.jpg

Finally, 1949 was the last year the Phillies were known as the Blue Jays. In 1943 Robert R.M. Carpenter assumed control of the Phillies after previous owner, William Cox, lost control of the franchise because he had bet on his team. Carpenter changed the Phillies name to Blue Jays in an effort to clean up the Cox tainted image of the team. The Blue Jays name was dropped in January, 1950.

Cheers, Mike

I sometimes wonder whether this 1890s Cleveland pass originally was made for the season but then also used for single-game admissions by adding the rubber stamp along the left edge.

Default Celluloid passes

The White Sox and Philadelphia A's produced very nice, thick celluloid passes in the 20s and 30s. The A's passes had schedule backs, always a bonus.

I just like the graphic on the 1941 Millers pass:

This card came with a season pass to the 1910 New York Giants games and used to belong to Bert Sugar, the writer/editor of the Sports Collectors Bible.

Default Season Passes

Favorite baseball ones in my collection:

1) 1913 Chicago Federal League - prior to the league going "pro" in 1914

2) 1916 Cubs - first year at Wrigley. Pass made out to former Cubs owner Charles Murphy. Appears to be in Weeghman's handwriting based on the written "Charles" on the pass and the facsimile "Charles" in facsimile Weeghman signature.

3) 1918 Cubs

The examples shown are all great. The Louisville and PCL items are exceptional.
Shown here are 3 newer examples. I think there is another board member with Maurice Deloof passes.

Default Chicago White Sox Clergy Passes

Not vintage, but definitely unusual...

Here are two circa 1970's clergy passes issued to a minister that lived just up the street from Old Comiskey.
Rev. Don Dye was no bandwagon Cubs fan. Go Sox!

Default Rapid Robert's passes and membership cards from his personal estate

A little bit OT, but here are a few of Rapid Robert's passes and membership cards from his personal estate that I picked up at the National in Baltimore a few years ago.

The back of the Sheriff's card is signed by fellow no-hit pitcher Ernie Shore who was a Sheriff in NC after he left baseball.
