Default Here's mine

Happy Holidays everyone!

Thanks for the advice, learning opportunities, good buys and friendship over the past year.

My list would include:

1) a photo match to verify that the 1992 Devon White Jays WS jersey in my collection is from Game 3 (the catch). Anyone have any clear footage/stills from the game?

2) a labeled mushroom bat

3) a huge ring bat

4) a 1977 Jays game jersey

5) a Toronto Maple leafs (baseball) game flannel jersey

I'm not Santa, but I just wrote up the description for a 1933-1934 Joe Jackson game used barnstorming bat for the upcoming Goldin Auction...

On a personal note, I'm always looking for:

1. Brooklyn Bushwicks related

2. Jersey City Giants score cards

3. Anything pertaining to Frankie Zak

4. Anything from the 1930's minor leaguer Jack Glynn

5. Doherty Silk Sox photographs from Paterson, NJ

6. This scorecard I got sniped out of on ebay many years ago:

Some of these I do not know if they exist so this is more of a wish list.

1. This Nebraska Indians cabinet photo has been eluding me for years...it came up a few times when I started seriously collecting NI memorabilia and I haven't seen one come up in years.

 photo ni2.jpg

2. A 1907 Lincoln minor league team photo or real photo postcard with Eddie Cicotte.

3. A Lincoln Chiefs hat to go with my jersey.

4. Any pre-1947 Lincoln minor league program

5. Town team postcard with Grover Cleveland Alexander pictured within.

Default Top memorabilia wants 2014

Happy holidays to everyone on net54!

1) Nolan Ryan game ball from his 1st no-hitter on 5/15/73 @ KC with solid provenance. Likewise, a game ball from Ryan's 383K game on 9/27/73 at Anaheim.

2) Johnny Vander Meer game used jersey

3) Vander Meer game ball from either of his no-hitters in 1938

4) Autographs of Federal League no-hit pitchers Frank Allen and Arthur David (Davie) Davenport. BTW, has anyone ever seen sigs to either of these guys?
At the very least, I would love to find an exemplar. Other no-hit pitchers that I would like to find signatures of include: Jay Hughes (1898 Baltimore), Red Donahue (1898 Phillies), Walter Thornton (1898 Chicago Bridegrooms), Weldon Henley (1905 Philadelphia A's), Johnny Lush, (1906 Phillies) and Thomas L. Hughes (Salida Tom) 1916 Boston Braves,

5) Find between 3-5 tickets of the remaining 69 games that I need to have one from every one of Nolan Ryan's 807 career pitching appearances.
Go ahead and make my day. I pay Top Dollar.

Memorabilia-wise, though I don't know if all of these things even exist:

1. Any self-issued career contemporary promo photos of my cousins Ray Miller and Bennie Berris. I know they exist I just haven't been able to get one.

2. 1934 self-issued career contemporary promo photo of Joe Louis. Don't know if one exists but I assume it does.

3. Benny Leonard cigar box label. Known to exist.

4. Wilt Chamberlain Type I Harlem Globetrotters team issue photo. Known to exist.

5. Babe Ruth autograph. More of a wish than a want since I know I could find one readily but I really can't afford it.

Items sold in 2013, I hope will be up for auction in 2014:

1) 1950 Wenatchee Chiefs Autographed baseball w/Lou Tost of Cumberland, WA
2) 1950's Wenatchee Chiefs batboy uniform
3) Bert Haas, Wenatchee Chiefs manager card (unknown series)

Items I have never seen, but are probably in a closet somewhere:

4) Any Roslyn, Cle Elum, or Ellensburg semi-pro uniform.
5) Any photo of Billy North at Central Washington State College.

2013 has been a very good year to me, if that's all I missed, but probably not.

I once had two team signed baseball from Bert Haas's start of his career in Beatrice, Nebraska (Neb State League).

Default Jesse Jefferson

Hello,

My name is Ian Jefferson and I'm always looking for photos of my father Jesse Jefferson. My father was playing with the California Angels the year I was born. So I'm always looking for photos of him...that I've never seen before....being the baby of the family I'm relentlessly looking for photos..he played for the Orioles..'73-'75...White Sox..'75-'76....Blue Jays...'77-'80...Pirates...'80....Angels..'81-'82...trying to get as many game photos or press photos. The one I'm having trouble trying to locate is a game/pose of my father wearing the powder blue uniform with the '75 white sox. Don't have many with the Angels both uniforms. Ant help would be awesome. These will be going to my trophy room and making updated photo albums.
Thanks

Hi Andy...

I think I'd like a pre-1905 Reach basketball guide too! I've only seen one example and it's not in my collection.
