Default E104-II Nadja Wagner

Pretty good gig if he gets it. He shows that PSA said it was questionable authenticity (fake) then puts it at $300 with a reserve. I hope no one falls for it. And I am one who thinks PSA does a good job overall but I wish they would put "Counterfeit" and this kind of stuff wouldn't happen (or it would happen less). I guess it's a liability issue or something. Bottom line, this is a fake card.

Gotta appreciate the picture outside on some sidewalk. That's where he found it I bet.

Default Wagner

I always liked this card, but I figured I would hold out for a "Nadja" backed example. Does anyone know how many Wagner's have a Nadja back? I'm assuming less than 5?

This explains the soil mark on the back side near the bottom.

Is Nadja back substantilly rarer than blank?

Ian,

I'm pretty sure they are rarer than the blank back, and are also more desirable.

I know a SGC 60 Wagner with Nadja back sold a few years ago in a Mastro auction. It hasn't resurfaced since.

I have tracked Nadjas informally for several years. I have seen more than 20 blank backs for every Nadja back. I would estimate there are less than 5 known Wagners with Nadja backs. I have seen 2-3 .....

Hmmmmm.. Makes me want a Nadja.

Thanks for info, I've only looked at PSA pop reports on the E104's.. And there's only 1 Wagner blank listed and no Nadja's... I know there're more in SGC since I've seen a handful listed (via AH past listings), including that SGC60 Nadja back.

ADDING- that's an amazing looking Clarke btw! I always loved he spelled it with an "e"

Nadjas backed e104-1,2, and 3s are incredibly hard to find. I never had a problem paying extra if it had a nadja back because they rarely ever come up! I think these sets would be more widely traded if they were sold more often; the fact that they don't come around much makes them less popular.

Leon is pretty spot on with the 20-1 blank backed to nadja back ratio, maybe even a tad higher.

Here is an example I have from each subset -
